The Hangover Thread

I've got one building but not expecting it to hit much more than a 4 - it did wake me up far too early though :p so I think the tiredness will be the worst thing today, not even sure what time we eventually went to bed!

I suffer pretty badly from hangovers, sometimes they can last several days as I’m prone to anxiety at the best of times but post drinking anxiety is horrendous.

A few things that are guaranteed to give me a shocker are not eating or not being hydrated pre drink. Eat well before, drink plenty of water and get a berocca down me first thing a day after drinking helps considerably.

No hangover. I carefully planned by starting well hydrated, and drank a glass of water with every glass of wine. I stuck to champagne and white wine wine, while ate lots of food. I also consciously paced myself early on.

i tend to get hangovers when i don't plan to drink much and just get carried way enjoying a nice burgundy or such. E.g last week i was skiing and running a lot. One day i forgot my water bottle so finished the day a little dehydrated. There was a small apres ski party so instead of drinking a load of water i had some strong Christmas beer. Then just kept drinking all evening and had some salty pizza for dinner. I didn't drink too much in total but i had basically only had a coffee and alcohol for 24 hours, so was parched with a splitting headache the next day

I feel absolutely horrendous 8/10. I didn't drink a lot but it's been a long consistent drip feed of booze if you know what i mean. I feel happy but im done in. If i didn't have a child it would be managable. I don't think I will make it! Help!

0 - Was asleep at midnight, just can't be nothered with it all. The thing about hangovers is they get worse with age, however the one thing I noticed was, once I gave up smoking, the effects of my hangovers decreased massively.
