The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

I used to play bf2 on a Geforce 4 - ti4200, I can post a shot so garbage it would crack your screen. Was still fun though

I posted some old poe 2 shots in the 800x600 thread the other day, I didnt need to resize them..

Technology doubles every 2 years and its 3 years old so its to be expected, if anything its done great

Geforce 4 wasn't compatible with bf2 without a mod, even then stuff like tanks etc. would be invisible due to lack of shader support, you sure?

Any chance i could get that Config, it looks really nice and the colour tones seem perfect. Especially in the second Crysis picture.

Sure :)

First extract the contents of this zip file to Crysis\Game\Levels directory, these files correct the colouring.
Second, choose a config below and place it in your Crysis directory..

Config #1: Best performance to image quality ratio
Config #2: Best IQ (rename to autoexec.cfg)

Also if anyone wants it...
Stalker config (highest possible IQ)

I can't believe how well the source engine has kept up with "modern" games such as GoW. I really prefer those HL2:ep2 shots to anything next-gen has to offer with its washed out colours and over-bloomed screens. Don't get me wrong, i don't think they look ugly as such, but the effects in HL2:ep2 are much more subtle and clever. Not to mention the fact that it's hugely scalable. Valve really seem to take notice of the statistics they collected, and continuously add things for every new game they make. All hail the masters!
 
was watching the "Meet the..." movies today and gotta love the first one :D

Flash bang hits do 1 damage, so I must have shot him 99 when he came out of the window to the left, in console after it said 100 damage given!
 
Those Battlefield 2 screens always look decent for the age of the game until you see the big fat blury text. You'd think they'd put some form of anti aliasing filter on it or something to make it look nice and crisp
