It doesn't imo. Click here if you want to see a vid of SR2 (made by me) in motion ( no sound though sorry, hence I didn't post this in the game video thread). There are shadows though in my game anyway.
(for reference: everything maxed except dynamic lights and something else (the top option in the gfx menu, don't know it's name lol), on simple instead of on advanced.)

I'm all for fun, but the handling looks terrible and the people physics look dire. Rockstar have decided to take a massive franchise that everyone knows and loves and changed it into something new. Some thing that looks brilliant and feels brilliant. SR2 is just copying what rockstar have already done 11 times. After playing GTA4 I can't bring myself to play GTA on my psp. I'll still play san andreas though. Actually I think SA looks better and just judging by the video plays better.
I was going to post some great clear sky screens to keep OT but fraps bugged out on me

SR2 isn't trying to copy GTA.
SR2 gives you the freedom to do crazy ****, customise your character, customise your car etc. GTA IV tried to bring realism into the game, I don't want people calling me on my phone every 5 minutes. I want to run around town in a ninja suit with a chainsaw cutting old ladies up.

Maybe but I just feel with GTA4 we've made a step forward and SR2 is taking two steps back. As they say each to their own
