Generals is still great fun online, and completely disagree that it ruined the C&C series, imo C&C got rubbish since C&C3 and RA3...

Color of the wood below.
Dx9 has a missing rotor blade on the boat's engine.
Rocks are rendered differently in dx9 and dx10.
Foliage is a bit more dense in dx10.
Self shadows on trees are nicer in dx10.


Just save both pics on your pc and open one, and press back and forward to compare the differences.

Loving the REX FSX shots Soya - my REX never seems to look that good - I think I've got a bit of tweeking to do.

Greats pics, but i think people go crazy with the flight simulater pics, i think it should have it own thread,
dont get me wrong the pics are nice, i hate the plance taking up my screen and taking ages to load

Close,I use TrackIR4, which basically means the screen view follows to movement of my head. I can turn, pitch, raise & lower and roll which is how I got those shots. It is 1920x1080 but cause I turned my head, it saves it at 1080x1920. It happened by accident, pressed the save screen key while I was tilting my head to read a manual, the rest is history.

Always wanted to fly a Welly in IL2. Hopefully it'll be available in Storm of War at some point.

Go into your documents and find the Options.ini file in the ZH folder

Code: 
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Options.ini

Look for "resolution" and change it.


You'll also then need to change the zoom with the following file: http://www.filefront.com/CC+ZH+104+Gamedata+Widescreen+Update/;10920361;/fileinfo.html
 
That appears to be a 16:10 patch, the one on filefront, I need an even bigger FoV, because I have 16:9, any ideas how to do this, using a 16:10 FoV will still stretch the game for me :(.
EDIT: hmm max camera height?
Wouldn't that just erm, zoom out, instead of adjusting horizontal vs vertical FoV ?

Scrolling and zooming is now awfully slow though, any way to increase the speed of scrolling and zooming ?
Also is this allowed online ?
