The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Well I might give it another shot but use my injector along with the enb to see if that gives a more favourable outcome.

Sharpshooter's is just built in, once installed you dont need to use any external programs to inject lighting, it has a d3_d9.dll that it uses that does most of the work (replaces standard one that comes with Skyrim though, but its a lot more stable and better optimized than Bethesda's).

I did realise that :p However, the injector I use is more to my taste colour/sharpness wise. Found a setting whereby you can use the injector of your choice as a proxy along with the enb you are using. Think i've settled on one now as it's definitely to my liking (Unreal Cinema + Realistic Lighting + Immersive Environment)

There you just place those files in your skyrim directory (delete any previous settings) and you're good to go (You will need to adjust the brightness, mine is 3 clicks down from the highest).

I am having one issue where the nights and some indoor environments are overly dark but I'm searching for a remedy right now.

I think that's the double edged sword when it comes to ENB's and lightning, but its realistic at least :D I personally cannot stand when a game is 'night' yet you can see almost perfectly into the distance, its why I loved the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series over Fallout. :D

EDIT: Now its time to rummage through my datafiles and see what Sharpshooter's ENB left behind, hate doing this :p

By overly dark I mean nearly pitch black and the torch doesn't help. Anyway I'm nearly done on a fix for it so will let you know asap

Yeah I'm getting that with unreal cinema. I'm levelling up alteration as I'm having to use mage light everywhere I go lol

More developers should make PC only titles. If games like this were released people would move to PC gaming and sack off their 8 year old consoles

I imagine this would force Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo to hurry up and bring our consoles with the required power for such games

this ain't bad for a 5 year old game.

Well I have fixed my version (to my preference) if you want to give it a try.

Download: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17400

Place it in your skyrim root where the enb files are located.

Run it and under the following parameters (On the environment tab) alter these values:

Ambient Lighting:

During Day - 5
At Night - 10
Shadow strength night - 9

Bloom:

During Day - 7
At night - 10

If you also experience rays coming off the moon at night go to the Sky tab and under the sun parameter untick sun rays.

The nights are not pitch black anymore but I'd say a torch is still required. I'm also using torch & street light mods as below:

Hope it helps.

Awesome! Great work mate :) I'll give that a bash later, still not even gotten around to touching Skyrim yet. :(

P.S Street light mods? What!? Just random lampost's dotted around Skyrim or something? Lol!

EDIT: Wow Lycosa, that looks amazing!

EDIT EDIT: :p How do I remove the widescreen border when in game? I really don't like that, otherwise its great!

Is it nuts that I prefer the way Oblivion looks? Skyrim's great its just, at the risk of sounding stupid, they went way too mainstream with the races. Draconic looking Argonians? Tall Bosmer? Feral looking Orc's? Although ironically I prefer the way people look in Skyrim graphically, just hate the way they changed their racial characteristics. Environmentally Skyrim is much better, almost entirely because of Riften, but looking at those Oblivion screenshots is just. I don't even know, maybe I'm being mindf*cked by nostalgia. :p

I've actually updated my settings I'd recommend using those (tweaked for daytime), I've also included how to disable letterboxing here:
