The Hunter

yep watch my vid you will see rain:p

Ok, will do when the Tube police aren't about :)

Rained for most of my hunt yesterday. Was great :)
The deer behaved mostly the same but I heard one while I was running very close, so my sound mustve been deadened well!

Since the new update, I've found I could run a bit more without spooking everything. Don't know if I'm imagining it or if it's a feature of the update.

Maybe you're just light on your feet :)

Who to Beat this Weekend!

Come see me in-game for all Elk information and missions.

As I write, the current points leader on the Elk leaderboard is Carey "Radar88" Grace with a cool 345 1/8.

That's highly beatable though!

Warden's and Members, I wanna see you out there in the EHR this weekend taking on that score.

For Guests, the Mule Deer leaders as I write are Riley "kklranch" Lott and Williams "Lordy" Bruce, both with 203.

That's a tougher score to beat, but it can be done!

Have a great weekend all, see you in-game, and...

Happy Hunting!

For those who saying about the rain, it decreases visability & smells and increases background noise (check your huntersmate). Therefore you can be a lot more obvious and the deer won't notice you.

The reasons you get caught in most common occuring order I think:

Deer will hear you first.
Then probably then smell you.
Finally probably see you last.

Therefore rain is ideal hunting time I think !

Find myself playing more and more actually recently. (well the odd 1hr or so in the evening). Might just take take the plunge and pay £9 for 4 months.

I really want to hunt different things, use a few more guns and more importantly have all my deers recorded and saved into some sort of score. At the moment on the free version it doesn't seem to remember jack about previous kills, etc.

well this is field i refer to as best in game.theres two joined on to each other and for those struggling to find there first kill it will help.

1st main meadow is like this

there will often animals grazing on here.

2nd one which is to the right of that field is my personal favorite

always prone crawl through grass coming off first field so you dont spook anything when going on here.always check the fringe forest.

heres the location on your hunter mate

which lodge do you guys start at?

Generally, the north one. It's easier to get to the best places. Just point in the direction you want to go, hit "e" and "q" and go and make a cup of Tea!

However, the biggest Deer I've seen in game was on the south Island @ 297lbs. Didn't get a shot at it though :( I find the south island can be good first thing in the morning i.e. 5.30am to 7.30 am.
