The Huw Edwards situation

Most are because they miss the bigger picture whilst relating things to themselves and their perceived right to their job. Brain washed by unionised work and their perceived rights above the terms of the employment contract they're employed under.
If you think anyone who disagrees with you is on the left that says more about you than anything.

Love hearts and kisses to a 17 year old who is still at school... you're really trying to downplay that as if it's nothing?

Get over yourself, you've been suckered into seeing deviancy.

Sending a love heart to someone who recently followed you on instagram is not something. Following it up with nothingburger small talk is still nothing.

Even if I editorialise and prompt the words which I report as being from the person in question, the basic facts are still drivel when used to make a claim of deviancy.

I've corrected your interesting rearrangement of the messages by the way. Note where the only reference to being a school pupil actually is in the conversation and the timestamps and the reply after that. Zero ****'s given.

So you would you send hearts and kisses to school boys that follow you on social media?

Looks more like the pupil was trying to initiate something rather than the BBC person. The pupil was chasing and when they didn't get a reply for 2 weeks sent a photo which lead to a reply without knowing the context of the photo, no further communication for nearly 2 months where the pupil initiated contact again.

A straight man wouldn't but a gay man probably would, and no I'm not insinuating anything from that, it's no different than some women who refer to people as sweaty or hun all the time. Just a term of endearment .

So you would you send hearts and kisses to school kids that follow you on social media as long as they matched your sexual preference? Ok.....

Do you think it would be appropriate for a dude in their late 50's to send kisses and heart emojis to a young girl of 17?

LOL this is like Russian levels of cope.

Sliding into someone's DMs to send a heart (unsolicited) and then later messages with kisses is quite clearly flirtatious. That the person turned out to be a 17-year-old schoolboy makes it pretty iffy.

I guess we'll have to wait and see who this presenter is to see just how inappropriate it is... how old are they? Are they married? Do they have kids? Are they religious?

How is that being "suckered" into seeing deviancy?

Looks like the hearts and kisses were all sent prior to the revelation the person being messaged was at school, if those two images are all that's involved?

The BBC have more or less admitted the presenter has made some threats and been abusive to the people involved.

Unless this is revealed to be some highly sophisticated blackmail scheme, he won't work there again. Whether he's done anything illegal or not doesn't matter now.

Do we even know those details yet, have they released details about the persons age? Or is that just speculation?

As for me, no I wouldn't, because the only young girls I know are my nieces and I don't do that mushy crap with them let alone a stranger. They know me as the uncle that can fix their phones when they break them or do diy around the house for their mums.

The BBC set themselves up to fail with all their lefty bias wokery nonsense. They made themselves a target of being held up to certain standards. Even with their diversity managers or schemes and their HR box tickers, they've not avoided being potentially shown up as hugely inept in terms of the time taken and processes left wanting. This ought to have been handled a lot better after the experience of Savile.

I won't reference the age but they are... older, married, with multiple children and very religious.

Yup for that individual, but there are allegations of sleaze about this guy concerning 4 individuals, including one apparent covid meetup.

Given that latter part then, if true/substantiated, I can't see how he or she going to be able to remain employed there, they're going to have to sack him or her and all the dancing around his or her identity will be over.

Then I guess we can revisit some of the claims and ask people again if they really think that X person in Y personal situation and Z role should be flirting with teenagers or paying them for sexual pics, or paying a young person to spend time with them in the pandemic etc...

edit
@Robbo I know exactly who they are and have known for a few days now, I'm just playing it safe by the rules of the thread to not give any hints as to their identity.

I do think that given their age, personal life etc.. then this stuff is particularly sleazy and the people trying to downplay it as nothing are being a bit ridiculous.

I knew dowie would like it when I fixed his corruption of posting the messages in the wrong order. And by like I mean blindly pretend it didn't matter.

Well lets see if someone else notices the difference when you put the school reference 3 months after the emotes.

Kenai can read timestamps :)

It doesn't, they're in the wrong order because I'd resized them (as on the first upload they were massive) then clicked the wrong one first in imgur... a mod can check and verify that (previous edit will have the original links) if you're really fussed about it.

You seem to have given up trying to downplay it though... are you starting to see that it's a bit farcical to just dismiss as you did?
