Yeah, Murdoch owned Sky News definitely want to cover up wrongdoings at their rival broadcaster
You don’t need a shovel to dig up the skeletons most media empires are hiding as a teaspoon will suffice.Yeah, Murdoch owned Sky News definitely want to cover up wrongdoings at their rival broadcaster
The fresh allegations tonight have come from the BBC and no doubt more will come to light as they investigate.
TBF the Suns stated intent was to make sure he was investigated and now he will be - the whole circus has largely been down to him thinking he could get out of it rather making a statement last week.
There seems to be a bit more to it than that, the BBC seems to have sat on it for a few weeks and not even told Huw about it and the family was allegedly initially fobbed off by the police.
Gotta wonder about their safeguarding procedures etc. when receiving an allegation like this especially given their past form for cover-ups when it comes to their stars. I mean if you get an allegation like this then that's pretty serious, also what was his conduct like within the organisation if he can be seemingly so reckless externally?
Huw Edwards named as BBC presenter in ‘sex pics scandal’ by wife in statement
NEWS anchor Huw Edwards was last night named by his own wife as the presenter at the centre of the BBC scandal — as the corporation revealed fresh allegations against him. Vicky Flind made a shock…www.thesun.co.uk
In. the other Sun article it seems the family were miffed that even after they'd informed the BBC Huw tried to meet their son at a train station:
We gave BBC testimony about star 'who paid our child for sex pics' 7 WEEKS ago
THE family of the youngster allegedly paid by a presenter for sex pictures last night accused the BBC of ignoring bombshell testimony given seven weeks ago. Emails seen by The Sun show the stepfath…www.thesun.co.uk
So it seems from the family's perspective they allegedly did do the right thing, contacted the police, contacted the BBC... seemingly saw nothing was done and allegedly learned this guy was still paying their son money, trying to meet him at a station and they're trying to sort out his alleged drugs issue.
Colour me unsurprised.
Watching the BBC and Sky news broadcasts yesterday at around 6pm it was just a constant loop of 'police have found no evidence of unlawful activity ' and there's the sympathy angle 'Huw Edwards in hospital due to depression'. To make things worse Sky had some guest come on say that BBC should drop it's investigation into Huw Edwards . He was a former TV executive can't remember the name but the mask slipped at that point and and I told my other half he was promoting a cover up.
Murdoch owns Sky News
He also owns The Sun, the paper that broke the story in the first place...how do these conspiracies work in your brain exactly?
The Sun's intent was and is to damage the BBC in any way it can. Truth, justice and collateral damage are irrelevant.

Is it bad that I don't care about any of this? Can't believe the UK press is so messed up and has to give this so much coverage. Is really a general statement about the state of the UK as a whole I think.
These People?Apathy is what lets these people get away with it..
These People?
Police arent pursuing it, no crime committed apparently, the 'victim' has said the Sun is wrong... The story for me is as much persecution by the press (Sun) and abuse of power of the media as anything else.
THE BBC is hugely unpopular now because of the constant scandals - ultimately if the BBC had taken this seriously initially the circus could have been avoided.
Similarly if Huw wasn't an old perv none of this would have happened..
Blaming The Sun is just lol..
What about all the other complainants? Are they not to be listened too?
Also why would a crack head bite the hand that feeds them (their drug habit)?
No wonder Savile got away with it all. They protect each other.
What are these constant scandals? And so the Sun has achieved its objective of hurting the BBC in the eyes of its readers as you've fallen right for their propaganda.
