Why would you apologise for posting a link to the only newspaper mentioned in this thread that actually has a decent track record for reliability with IPSO?
The rest have rulings made against them weekly and are ordered to print retractions nearly every other day; so surely they’re the ones that you should be more concerned about linking to, no?

Technically not a response to the question asked but I'll engage.
What do you mean an email has no excuse to be missed? Emails get missed all the time for various reasons and I think you know that. We don't know what the full extent of the timeline, potentially the timeline is soo short that the BBC simply didn't have time to do their due diligence in chasing them up but on the other hand potentially the BBC was incompetent in their handling of this. There is not enough information to tell.
But then simultaneously we don't know what actions the parents may or may not have taken outside of the contacting the Police, the BBC and the Sun.
In the same way we don't have the full story about what Huw may or may not have done we don't have the full story regarding the conduct of the parents or the BBC.
The juxtaposition of this thread is entertaining, in the same way that people are taking small pieces of information to form assumptions that suit the outcome they want with regards to Huw and are being called out for it, you and others (who are doing the calling out) are doing the exact samething with regards to the conduct of the parents in the defense of Huw or is it to slander the parents for what they have done to Huw (Doesn't matter to me).

Is anyone really supporting him besides the principle of being innocent until proven guilty? Somehow that is ok for a politician preaching decency and advocating for the so called "Christian" part of the USA.
However, the same people who love Trump suddenly care when a random newsreader appears to be a bit of a sexual deviant, even though said person isn't a politician or has ever (as far as I know) lead a movement preaching the opposite...

Who do you think provided the contact details the BBC used and failed to get a reply from.
This isn't wild speculation, this is extremely reasonable to look right at the failure of the parents to follow up their own complaint.
