As much as i love having the newest hardware, this doesn't merit the cost! However i will certainly upgrade as soon as there are significant price drops and performance/overclock proofs

I think AMD could really make a come back here. From what I understand these are not much of a boost over the current gen processors. Much like what happened with Nvidia, AMD could sneak a blow in here. We could certainly use some competition in the CPU segment again.
I remember when £100 was expensive for a mobo then it went upto £200 and now £300, I will not pay for than £150 for a mobo and if that means waiting or even going AMD then so be it.
Silly question but the Extreme Edition in the US are now around £575 + whatever import duty you have to pay when it arrives so why is it UK £822 right now!!

I think P45 has shown the benefit of waiting for a platform to mature before jumping in. Hell, I haven't even switched to Vista yet.
