The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

A few guys in the club tried that on Saturday. I had already done it (3 times!) so I joined them on Discord for a chat.

I think they got to climb 7 or so before they got bored to death!

Definitely one you need to zone out while watching TV/movies.

It didn't help that Zwift done a Zwift and completely screwed up the event.
There was no placings and all categories were visible.... so on lap two the front group was already riding through a constant line of C cats and it just absolutely destroyed the draft and the groups.

Total shambles as usual.

Lad on my team done it in 3hrs 59mins on Saturday in the badge hunter ride thing..... I'm not sure he's still alive actually, I should check on him.

Yeah, the ride format spoiled things a bit. We had a decent group going for the first couple of laps but once all the slower riders got spread out it totally disintegrated. I ended up riding alone for most of the second half which slowed things down a lot.

There's also that annoying group ride thing of people joining a long ride only intending to do half and smashing it for the time they are there then buggering off.

You need to amend your weight in the game itself. It will allow precise to .1 weights if you do it this way.
Editing your weight in the browser on Zwift website or in Companion app won't do it to .1 - only works in the game client itself.

Thanks,will take peak.

You can add one decimel place to your weight in Kg on www.zwift.com in your profile, it won't show in the window but save it and then go to your profile in www.zwiftpower.com and hit "refresh profile."

Where in game is it? Had a look briefly earlier but couldn't find it. Although was only on my phone on android app.

Got it! Went in on phone, oh it's listed as 69.3, went to update it where it shows as 693, try to put a decimal place in, nope not having it, try to change it to 692, oh I weigh 692 kg now....What an app. :D

Companion app. The biggest pile of **** I have installed on my phone. It has sucked as bad as this all along and never got any better. When I see someone DM me in Zwift I hate it because it means I need to try and use Companion to reply :p

No no that was on the android zwift app itself, i'll do it on windows tomorrow morning probably.

Ugh, gives me the fear. I've never ran it on anything but Windows.
Saying that, I am tempted to install it on Android today. There is a ridiculous race tonight with so many people that I may run it on my phone just to get into the starting pen the second they open. If you close out of the app then launch it again later and join the pens, it remembers your position and doesn't put you all the way to the back ;)
Top tip!

Nearly hit 1000w tonight but not quite trying the desert flat route sprint point. It’s a long one though! Build up in the saddle then stand up and kick but fade before the line :o

I thought let's do a Zwift ride at lunch as I couldn't be arsed to switch tyre on rear wheel... nice easy ride maybe watching youtube. Saw a race. Decided meh why not. Ouch.

Still can't sprint! 4th I think. I find myself surging through to front by accident a lot of the time. Like it's hard to judge how much to let off power.

Yep, I do that all the time. If I'm not paying attention and find myself near the back of the group heading backwards, one surge of power and I'm suddenly out in front having to coast or back off entirely.

Big watts bruh, smashing it by the looks of it!

Sooo nice up here but I've signed for the TTT and don't want to be a dick to the guys.
