The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

I've swapped out PC's in my basement. Figured the one I had was wasted there, so using it in my office now. I need to install windows on it later, but I've got a nice 1300X, 4GB value ram, 120GB SSD and RX560 which should be ample for zwift and netflix while I ride :P hope to get back on soon.

FFS, I weighed myself on sunday. 78.3kg. I've been 75kg all winter, the recent lack of mileage has obviously taken it's toll... :o

Keeping my Zwift weight at 75kg until I've have a couple of weigh in's and caught up on some riding.
Don't even want to look at the scales lol

Legs didn't want to turn this morning, so very low wattage hour round the flat. Did an hour yesterday morning and last night a Chris Hoy leg workout in the gym and **** me I am in pain. Need to drop the saddle a few mm as well, as I think it's a bit of an overreach at the moment. Anyway, will slowly build up my fitness again and lose some weight and then hopefully get a bit more competitive.

Yea, I can hit max power still. I can peak at like 1500w, hold about 600 for 30s but it's endurance of holding 280w for an hour I used to be able to do, now it's crap. I'm carrying too much weight and need to get my fitness back in general. I did Jon's Mix this morning again and yesterday had it on 189w FTP but was too easy really. Did a 200 ftp today and it was harder but OK. I'll slowly push this up and see how I cope. I'd get blown out the water in any races at the moment! Need some more fitness first. Getting an hour a day in on the bike so hoping that should help bring it back.

Did John's mix Monday again and the McCarthy Special yesterday. Both were easy enough, but pushed me a bit too. McCarthy had a warm up and the 3 min at FTP/ 200w, then right after 3min at 225w and then 3 min at 250w, then a 5 min at 130w. It's a nice mix up to John's mix and hopefully should push me to raise my power more. Might try some of the other ones on there too.

Massive respect to you ******** up alp zwift or whatever the hell it's called. Jesus ****. I was possibly the slowest in the world but I made it. My legs still hurt. So much lactic. ARGHHH. I doff my caps to all of your fast people. *doffs cap*

Thought my Flux was under reading as a lot of people have reported this (and I have some odd rubber flecks that seem to have come from it) so today put the Ultimate and Vectors on the trainer to compare... turns out it wasn't the Flux reading low, it's just my lack of any meaningful power hahaha

Anyway, had some time this morning so made up for not going on much last week and did 60km, which was nice, but Richmond is a yawn fest.

I'll take it apart soon and check that out to see. I read like all the posts in that group, so thanks for the add on that! V useful. Trying to get some more saddle time in at the moment, so riding as much as I can. Weight will eventually come off and hopefully with it power up, but weight is so slow to drop as you get older lol

Yea, it's just a bit meh. Nothing about it at all. I'm going to venture outside tomorrow... have to go to a meeting in town so riding the Aeroad it. Tried that last week and burst my tyre, so hopefully tomorrow be all good. Outside is scary. :P
