The Intel Arc owners thread

What are the expectations? B580 4060Ti? B770 4070S?
Yeah from the rumors it seems,

B570 ~ RTX 4060 Ti
B580 ~ RTX 4070

Hopefully we get some real numbers soon.

*Update, Tech Power up have it lower than that,

Seems odd to release a new card that performs worse than an Arc A770 but costs similar,

Isn't that standard for Nvidia? Where step X on the new range performs the same as step X+1 of the old range? But yes, if Techpowerup are to be believed, that performance level for £250 is disappointing: it's competing with the RTX 4060 on price and faring worse.

We'll see in 30 mins.

Not great not terrible. If the drivers are good and the reviews are positive they can become a budget option. Although I don’t think these prices will last and we will see a 20/30$ reduction in no time.

A card with 4060+ performance for 220$ and Xess 2, should be a pretty good mid range option.

Slightly underwhelming to be honest. It's good that they're catching up on technologies like frame generation at least. What I really want to know is if they have a B750/B770 planned, or if this is it. Because I'm going to start doubting Intel's long-term commitment to Sparkle Motion the discrete GPU business if they're already moving the top card down a full tier.

£300 is too much. Still a beta unknown product, god knows much much the higher end model is with 16GB
It isn't £300 (It starts at £248.99)
It isn't really an unknown product (the drivers of the first generation product are now pretty good by all accounts)
And there isn't a 16GB model (A higher end B770 hasn't yet been announced)

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,095.95 (includes delivery: £7.99)

24% faster than the A750 according to their presentation. In theory that makes it faster than an Arc A770 and somewhere around RTX 4060Ti levels?

If it was really that fast, they would say that. When Alchemist released they compared directly to the 3060, this time they showed the 1660 super.

It's more likely that it corrects some of the problem games of Alchemist, making the percentage increase much larger. Other wise they would just say x% faster than 4060 with 50% more VRAM...

The 1660 Super part you are taking out of context - they compared to that as to what level of performance you previously got for the same $249 the B580 is launching at.

You mean like this official slide that says 10% faster on average than a 4060 :D

Also the slide from the video that said 24% faster than a A750

Edit: Slides are from Guru3D's coverage of the announcement

The video left out the 4060 slide? Very odd, since it's the most relatable.

Well, there it is. Anyone actually going to buy this?
