Absolutely none. You'd just be restoring your phone for no reason.
I don't understand why people can't grasp the idea of the GM, especially with how anal Apple are with their naming systems. If there were any updates, however minor, I'm sure they'd shove it into a day 1 5.0.1 update. They've done it in the past.

Then in that case, for people finding the download slow or stopping midway - I recommend just downloading the latest version here and doing a restore
(Don't forget to backup before restoring!)
I've just sniffed out a direct URL for iOS 5. I run Internet Download Manager so getting 16 download threads and getting a respectable 3.3MB/s - a lot faster than using iTunes

What are the some things? The software update feature in iOS not working will be nothing more than Apple haven't turned it on yet.

The extra filesize relates to the fact that you don't have to restore-update the phone with the non-dev download. You can just straight update the firmware.
Home sharing works absolutely fine for me and have you perhaps thought that the OTA updates don't work because... There's no OTA updates yet.
