Do you understand what the GM is? It's the same as the release.

Not true really - there are a few things that throw up errors/don't work properly in the GM. So I'd say restoring and getting the final release is worth it. I'm doing it now

Yep same here. Looks like you'll have to restore if you want the release version which is what I'm doing now

Oh that's odd. I clicked OK to update to 4.3.5 and now it's telling me I'm updating to 5

I've just sniffed out a direct URL for iOS 5. I run Internet Download Manager so getting 16 download threads and getting a respectable 3.3MB/s - a lot faster than using iTunes

No. Just wait. I never installed the 4.3.5 update, it will change to 5.0.

I am downloading it for ipad 2 here. So will take another 50 minutes to download.

Will do my iphone 3gs tonight once i cleaned it out of useless apps.
