*** The iPad Air thread ***

Most of the schools I work in have wifi now.

I've ordered one at £329. Providing they can honour all the orders, I think my only issue may be not getting a 3G one.

So I already have an ipad 4th gen but I saw that about play.coms price and made an impulse buy :p

Now just have to try and flog the 4th gen to recoup some money.

Just get a MiFi Dongle. Simple. I have it on good authority that you won't have any issues with the order at all. :-)

Well I have gone and done it now, hope I don't end up regretting it as I can't test the unit before Christmas.

Thanks for the tip by the way.

At the end of the day they are all covered by 12 months apple warranty so I can't see how there would ever be any issue. :-)

Picked up my new Air this morning from John Lewis (they price matched the purple shirt deal and offered an extra years warranty), so far I'm really impressed with it compared to my iPad 2.

I've had my iPad Air since Friday. Loving it. The screen as amazing.. Very light as well. Compared it to a Note 10.1(sisters) and day and night difference. Especially the weight.

Just ordered one of these taking advantage of the offer previously mentioned.

I received an iPad mini with Retina last week and have been playing with it all weekend, whilst I like the form factor and the fact that you can comfortably hold with one hand I really feel as if the extra screen size would improve the whole experience. But I can see why the mini appeals to many.

Yea I had a play with the new mini. Very good pretty much the same as the Air. But it just feels abit too small. Tried few other tablets around them sizes. And I can get a real good feel about it. I'm happy I gone with the Air. The extra screen size helps soo much.

I think i'll pick one of these up for the missus for christmas, anyone heard anything regarding apple offering the 10 month 0% finance again this year? I've had a quick look but haven't found anything

Same here. Picked up a 32gb white one last night. Really happy with it over my ipad 2.

Also ordered one of those invision cases for the princely sum of £6. Happy days

Yep did the same although just slightly cheaper at £4.92 (inc p&p), also been confirmed as dispatched so hoping it turns up tomorrow.

My only concern with the air at the moment is the screen glass feels thinner/not as solid as the older version but hopefully I'll get used to it and its not actually any weaker.

Anyone got their invision case yet and can advise on the look/fit of it? Ordered the pink one for my g/f's air but as its all for xmas i cant exactly try it out.

I cancelled mine as it turned out the insurance will replace the other one :) Maybe after christmas though, if I can justify it for personal use!
