*** The iPad Air thread ***

Mine seems to crash often.

One dropbox video just kept closing the app, safari closes often on me as well. I've had this with my previous iPad 3. I'm not even a heavy user of safari, I could have 1 tab open!

Right on my ipad, for some reason if i try to open up another tab on Safari, it closes the app?

Any idea?

Anyone know how long delivery takes from those on offer ones!? I had an email saying it's been posted, that wS Monday night though

I received my iPad Air from Play.com this morning via UPS. Great price, great bit of kit! Wasn't expecting delivery to be so quick. Full UK model too, and still sealed, so no worries there.

I ordered mine 10 AM Sunday and had it by 10 AM Monday, without paying any extra for fast tracked post. While impressive, it probably not going to be the norm!

The big never knowingly undersold outfit are now offering 3 years warranty too.

Same boat here mate you're not alone so i wouldnt worry about it. I hope its not based on time of day though as i ordered first thing and then bank decided that they would decline the tranx for fraud prevention and that i had to go through some automated rubbish to say 'yes i ordered this' and then reorder later in the day lol.

Still got dispatch email on monday though.

I was told it was based on time of day. I got mine on Wednesday but have been told that some people will take up until the middle of next week.

Yay John Lewis price matched the Tesco £30 off voucher on my 32gb wifi Air, so I got £30 off list and a 3 year guarantee. I screenshotted the tesco website showing the item in stock with the windows calender over the top and included a link to the image in my claim, not sure if that made any difference but I know a number of people have had their claims rejected due to 'convenient' out of stocks.

Thank you for your post-purchase price match request for the Apple iPad Air, Apple A7, iOS 7, 9.7”, Wi-Fi, 32GB, Space Grey, John Lewis product code 86000602.

I have looked into your request and will be happy to match the price of £449 for the Apple iPad Air, Apple A7, iOS 7, 9.7”, Wi-Fi, 32GB, Space Grey at Tesco.

Went in Apple shop today to get idea of what this would be like and is not as thin as the mini I am actually worried I made a bad impulse buy now the mini looks a lot nicer :/ is for my g/f and her teaching am worried is not portable enough.. Any thoughts from someone with experience of both?

I had a mini with retina first but returned it as I didnt get on with the smaller size (I have perfect eyesight, its more an ergonomic thing)and ordered the air instead which I am more than happy with. The air just looks like a bigger mini so it really comes down to whether you prefer the bigger or smaller size. The screens on both are fantastic.

It's exactly the same thickness as the Mini - both are 7.5mm. Unless you're referring to the original Mini which is 7.2mm but no one in their right mind would buy that now.

It depends. If you're happy playing from the cloud and paying the yearly fee for itunes match, then a 32GB could suffice.

But personally, with a music collection that size, I would go for the 64GB.

The 32gb will only be around 28GB usable also, so it's basically impossible to use it for anything else then.

64GB is a no brainer for what you need.

LOL, exactly the same thing happened to me! I actualyl ordered at about 1230 AM but Nationwide decided to block the transaction later that day :( Was actually pretty lucky to get one at all!

Weird if felt a lot bigger and uglier, i thought at first it was an older gen but it said air on the screen :/

Ah well will stick with it i guess. Still no sign of the ipad though despite a dispatch email on monday.

Still waiting for mine too and had the email on Monday. But, if they said it might be a while then I guess we'll just have to wait.

Waved goodbye to my 4th gen earlier for £250. Ill miss the fella, was in great condition and never let me down.:(

Still, with a bit of quidco % this will only be a £70 upgrade so as long as it arrives in one piece, is genuine, and doesn't have a yellow line down the screen ill be happy. :p
