Replacement came today. Ring 02 or go to Apple.

Apparently it's a known-issue. Hopefully mine is in perfect nick, haven't opened it yet.

Oh, sounds tempting. Did it take much convincing to get one sent out? I can't be arsed to spend ages on the phone arguing with someone!

Most importantly, did the new one have the same problem?
 
Twice I've rung 02, twice they've been superb.

Ring 2302 from the iPhone.. when you speak to an advisor just explain that you believe it's faulty and they usually offer to send out a replacement.

Just about to open the THIRD one now.. here's hoping it's better.

EDIT: IT'S PERFECT!!!!!!!

just got an iphone, is there anyway i could get the iphone not to mess around with my emails on the server. What i mean is when i delete a email from my iphone it gets deleted from my gmail account and i dont want it to.

As I'm going to get a replacement for my iPhone, due to the light leaking, I thought I would jailbreak this one, to see if there is anything I would want. Is there a way to un-jailbreak my phone if I jailbreak it?

Use POP access instead of IMAP as POP doesn't have the ability to delete emails off the server.

If the iphone comes with 2.0.0 dont upgrade, use winpwn or pwnage to jailbreak it to 2.0.0, play around if you dont like jailbreak, just use itunes to update to 2.0.1, it will unjailbreak your iphone.
 
Hi guys, where is the cheapest place possible to get an unlocked 3G iPhone? I have a friend going to Asia soon and was wondering what are the Pros and Cons of getting an unlocked iPhone from there. What prices could I be looking at for this?

I already have an iPhone 3G with 2.0.1. I'm going to get it replaced so ideally wanted to play about with jailbreaking before I get my 'new' one.
 
I updated my 3G iPhone to the latest firmware (2.0.1) and now all my Apps from the store do not work. Are Apps firmware limited, or will I have to download them again?
