there is no dock with the v2, not in the box anyway, you can buy it as an accessary.

It works from a GPS chip so you will need to be outside probably. It will be looking for a satelite.

Surprisingly, I knew it had gps.
It won't get a lock even outside for 10 minutes and the initial cell triangulation isn't happening either.

Phew, got my 8GB black one after 2 hours and 20 minutes. Unfortunately same old story with everything being down, so I don't think i'm registered with O2 yet, but at least i have the handset!

Seems Apple.com is throwing a hissy with iTunes 7.7 downloads too, anyone else having this problem?
Edit: Nevermind, working direct through iTunes now instead. Still problems with the website.

If you've got your iPhone paid for, and then later fail the credit checks, surely o2/Apple are going to loose out on money here as if i fail for whatever reason, I'll keep the phone and sell it.....

As before I was the first one in the Leeds store and my credit check went through successfully at 8:03 then the URU system promptly died so they went to contingency of manual contracts.

In Leeds (Commercial Street) they had 22 16Gb and 60 8Gb...

Sitting here playing with it just now. One comment is, i preffer the feel of my old iPhone, cos this has a plastic back.

But great anyway. Activation went through in about 2 seoncds over itunes.

Was outside the o2 store at 06:45, 11th in the queue, when i got in the upgrade system had crashed but there's a 16gb one sitting in the store with my name on it when the system comes back online i'll be there ready to collect.

i stayed at the store until 10:20 making the sales man hit refresh repeatedly!

i wouldn't have stayed so long but the sales guy behind me managed tio get 1 upgrade go through. i only left because i was hungry and mcdonalds were about to stop serving breakfast!
