LiE for £5 that looks pretty good. Ordered one for my Black iPhone hope the frosted back doesn't hide the design too much. I like the look of my Switcheasy Nude but it's already scratched to bit's and i'm not too convinced of how much protection it provides.

I like the fit, it's very good. It's not as grippy as the 4gear, but not slippery either. The lip is plenty around the front to protect the screen. It's a frosted back, which looks good. It does show up little bits of lint/fluff under the case if there are any, but it doesn't really detract from the look. So overall pretty good for a fiver.

Here are some pics.

That looks really quite good, would you mind keeping us updated as to how it wears etc please?

For those wondering about the anodisation it's worth reading the following :

http://www.anandtech.com/show/6330/the-iphone-5-review/3

Kind of explains why the iPhone 5 scratches so easy - it boils down to device thinness.
Not for a minute do I accept that as an acceptable reason for the quality of the anodisation they have been using, if thicker anodisation requires a thicker base metal then the few mms added to its depth for the vast majority of users would be preferable (and the extra grams in weight).

Its not like quite a few of us didnt bemoan that Apple instead of making the thinnest iPhone possible could have made one just as thick as the iP4/4S and provide us with a longer lasting battery instead...

Meh - the seemingly loss of attention to detail by Apple really is gonna start them losing customers - if that article is correct, I might just stop even considering re-buying an iP5...

EDIT: Though Im half tempted just to get a black iP5 and to rub all the slate off - black and silver iP5 would look rather nice dont you think? :p

I think for screen protection people should look at the Spigen SGP Glasr+t (it's called something like that). It's a glass screen protector so I imagine it looks and feels like the iPhone Gorilla Glass.

My personal unit had an issue with the front glass not being properly mounted into the frame, something I tried to correct by just applying pressure until it clipped in, but it ended up unclipping again after some time.

Mine had the same problem in the bottom left corner and I'm fairly sure that's why it obliterated after a small drop.

I got my Joli sleeve through yesterday and have to say I am a wee bit disappointed with it. I thought it would be a stronger/tougher leather rather than a soft leather.

I cannot however fault the workmanship though and would recommend it.

Same here. Was expecting something slighty more sturdy.
Very nice though, good quality.

IMO, the best you can buy are the Spigen Stenheil range.

The Ultra Crystal Mix gives a nice finish to the phone (have this on mine) and they also offer the EX Ultra Crystal Mix Incredible Shield, which is the same front and back kit but with side protection.

iPhone 5 Ultimate Black Slate

I have been following this thread even before I got my iPhone 5. I think I have come up with a great masculine combination for my Black Slate iPhone 5.

Case: Pinlo semi-transparent black 0.35mm case (thinnest iPhone 5 case in the world).
Screen Protector: anti-glare™ film set for iPhone 5 (made by Power Support in Japan - available in your local Apple Store).

I didn't think I would like the matt screen protector and always go for crystal clear on all my devices. I have clear Media Devils screen protectors at the ready too. Next quest to find a decent leather type sleeve. Anyway let me know what you guys think of my iPhone 5 so far?

Nice I am kind of considering going along the same lines. But would that case protect against drops? Or just for scratch protection?

A lot of mixed reviews on that, some say it is great whereas some despise it, haven't looked too much into the iPhone 5 version but I remember they used to have problems with the edges.
