Errr watch my video?

Well If its being heard in videos users are recording on their iphones, I'd return absolutely especially when you're paying that much.

Hopefully its something that can be corrected in future batches of the iPhones.

Apologies. First I've seen of it affecting videos. I'd obviously return if mine did that.

It really doesn't matter what the answer is he'll find some way to humble brag about how much better his deal is than yours or how much smarter he is for not buying a phone or maybe (if you're really lucky) something about how he can't do his important paperwork on a phone.

You do appear to have issues with observation and facts? You could try CBT.

Phoned apple support today and they're going to reserve me a replacement 7+ to swap in store for my coil whine affected one.

Fingers crossed the replacement is better!

Sigh I'm gutted about the whole hissing thing and I don't know what to do. I've printed off the returns label but have no backup phone to use if I do send this back.

Some more facts for you.

You don't own an iPhone as well as Android.

By your own admission you barely ever use your own phone for more than 15 minutes a day.

Why are you on this thread?

For clarity I do still own an iPhone as well as other Apple products. Ownership of these products however does not make me a brand zombie.

When I see or read ridiculous product claims I'm mature enough to add rational balance - are you?

Ha. I sold my Note 5 to buy a Note 7, obviously timed that wrong so changed to pre ordering a 7 plus on 3 and now look :D.

Note 5 was faultless :(

When I phoned them today I said I wasn't really willing to be without the phone for a return, and asked them to find and reserve me one in a local store. They're working on that and will hopefully get me one tomorrow.

A lot quicker and less hassle (for me, at least) than returning and re-ordering.

The issue on the video above seems quite common. Noticed on the three I have had so far.

I have a return date of 9 oct now so will wait until around then to see how this develops

Like I said there is a real issue with these phones despite people saying it's not an issue etc. Of course it is

I'd probably be able to live with it if it was just sound when the phone was doing something intensive, although it would certainly irk me that it was there. However, being able to hear it in the videos recorded is a deal breaker for me and needs replacing.

That was a good move. I may phone them tomorrow but I'm worried that the replacement might have issues as well.

You can only try.

If you do phone them, you'll need to get through to a senior adviser and get them to take the case. They're the ones who actually know what's going on and will authorise you a replacement to be reserved ASAP with having to go through the normal procedure.

That's such a lot of money for a phone especially given second hand values have really taken a hit of late. Can't ever see me paying this much money for a phone.

Perhaps half that amount and even then I think it's too much. I doubt I will ever go back to an iPhone again. You can do the same things with Android and more plus your bank balance will be a hell of a lot healthier.

Which one is it Mr Billie big balls?

You own an iPhone or would never go back to one again?

I emailed the senior guy who was dealing with my original report on the issue. Are they doing a new purchase exchange or a replacement via guarantee?

I still have an older model iPhone sat on a shelf in mint condition and in full working order. I can't see myself going back to owning or using one of the latest models anytime soon though.

For me personally I think Apple have lost the plot re: pricing and I have found Android will do just the same job as my old iPhone, is more customisable plus the hardware pricing is more realistic.

Don't you think your rudeness is somewhat immature?

Need to upgrade from my ageing 5s and was thinking of buying a 6s or 7 out right and going sim only as it seems to work out cheaper in the long run. If you had a 5s would you upgrade to a 6s instead of a 7 going by the current issues with the new 7s or would you just go with the latest offering?
