Yea in the end I just went into the Apple store and got the interest free loan for the iphone 7 that is provided by Barclays. You don't get the free upgrade next year but you can easily sell your iphone 7 for a good chunk of the money needed if you want to upgrade next year.
Also I got fully insured for £70 a year, covers me for everything, from a 3rd party.
It's insurance plain and simple. You can buy the £119 insurance on its own. You don't have to upgrade. If you are accident prone it's a good deal. Most insurance for iPhones is quite expensive and the excess is a lot more than the apple one.
Just a quick question, having spent the most I have ever spent on a phone I am just a little paranoid about the screen scratching.
The phone will be in my pocket or on my desk most of the time so just everyday use. How are folks looking after their screens, are you tusting it not to scratch or what screen protection are you using.
Yes on iPhone and I manually tried selecting all the available networks. A friend was recently over to NYC with her mate, one on Vodafone and the other on 3. Guess which worked? Certainly not 3!
This appears to be much the better option or it certainly does to me. You have now got complete freedom with your purchase.
I've had my iPhone 7 128GB Jet black for 2 weeks now, Getting on ok with it. Coming from a S4 it's very different, Even to my last iPhone which was a 3GS (Yes that long ago ) it's different but easy to use.
Vodafone well and truly screwed up the contract, It was supposed to be £48 a month for 24 months with no upfront cost for phone (inc loads of mins and data etc)
They sent me the phone and have put me on a 12 month sim only contract for £15 per month with 1k mins, unl tx & 1GB internet.
I've received the contract in black & white stating this, It says the same in myvodafone app and they took the first £15 direct debit a few days ago.
24 x £48 = £1152
12 x £15 = £180
lol

Personally I don't call being tied to a 20-month credit agreement "complete freedom".
Well complete freedom would be my situation i.e. I always pay cash. But at least the above is better than the upgrade programme which to me is simply an expensive Apple tie in.
The contract may state in "black & white" but I presume it clearly states it's a SIM-only contract with no mention of the handset.
So they've also sent you a phone which you haven't paid for. You might get lucky and they never realise but, if they do, they're fully entitled to ask for payment for it, either outright or by adjusting your contract etc.
Really contemplating leaving Three. They've been great for a few years but since getting this new iPhone my 4G connection has been shaky at best. It was solid on my iPhone 5 and 6.
Tempted by EE but I'm looking at £27 a month for a measly 8GB.
Do you not connect to wifi wherever possible? 8 Gig would last me 12 months.
Or perhaps people in the iPhone thread aren't interested by the other handsets.
You should always have an interest in what else is out there or is it your view that all iPhone owners have closed minds?
I have an iPhone and a Mac and I'm always looking at other products.
Nope, why connect to WIFI if I have unlimited data. I rarely use wifi anywhere else unless I have 0 network connectivity. Don't ever have to worry about finding free wifi or paying extortionate rates. I've had my iPhone 7 for about 2 weeks now and I've already used 8GB. Tend to use between 10-12GB a month on average.
For what it's worth. I'm happy I went for the upgrade plan. No hidden charges in my view.
