Lack of an headphone socket will(IMO) put off "mainstream" buyers for this device. Who wants to ditch their £200 Bose cans for these air pods? (I have £200 Bose cans)

It comes with an adapter in the box. You don't have to ditch your current headphones.

I think they are using this year to introduce some incremental changes before next year. If the rumors are true, next years phone could be pretty impressive :)

Well I've got 1 month left on three contract, and will probably elect for a 12 month sim, then maybe have a look at the 7s :)

Yeah might even match a Galaxy S6.

I don't understand with all that cash in the bank why the result is so pathetic.

What cases are people going for? I've been using a Knomo leather sleeve for the last couple of years on my 5S but not sure I trust myself with using the 7 with nothing protecting it when in my hands...

I mean it really doesn't matter! I mean to be fair I'm being tortured by an s7 edge until next Friday but some people love it!

I managed to sell my 6s Plus 64GB for £500 last night, so that's cheered me up a bit and makes the £820 for its replacement at least seem a little less crippling :o

I'll be getting another Ringke Fusion (clear). Used those since my 5s and I've always loved em. Provide pretty good protection and they're not stupidly bulky either.

Until you wish to charge you phone, and I think that's the main gripe. Plus it appears to be a greed orientated move from Apple rather than for the sake of pushing tech forward.

I have never charged my phone and needed to use the headphone jack. Personally.

Lots of people flying on planes or travelling for hours on trains do this, it's where I would miss having the port the most.

Are there any accessories that allow both a 3.5mm jack *and* a charger? That would solve the issue although it's really clunky and something extra to forget/lose.

Will take a look at the case, thanks mate :)

Belkin have a Lightning Audio + Power adapter which is apparently also compatible with the lightning to 3.5mm adapter so it can be done although I'm not sure if an all in one device is available yet

So with the apple upgrade plan thing, after the 16th will you be able to go in any day and do it? I have to work on the 16th so it's impossible for me to get in there.
