No way I am leaving my 3 contract I just looked up again (had it years), £15 a month - all you can eat data - all you can eat texts - 200 minutes - which iv used 2 minutes this month so far!!! - neverrr use my phone for calling really! lol

Yeah as Rick Astley would say -- never gonna give you up, never gonna let you go...etc etc :p

Sim freeee forever!! lol, I currently own the LG G4 - I *could* switch to an iphone 6s plus OR a samsung S7 edge - iv checked the specs and the S7 edge really destroys the iphone......but then I love RAW photos on my LG G4, tough times.

I was on the £12.80 deal, but they increased it to £20 a few months ago. :(

Was seriously questioning my iPhone 7 reservation as I'd decided in my head that I wanted a Plus for the larger screen, mainly to make texting easier.

Have just been into the Apple Store and after playing with a 6S Plus, the extra real estate is nice but the handset is just way too large in the hand.

Now all I've got to do is sweet talk the boss who has gone and booked my performance review for the same time as my reservation at the Apple Store on the 16th

Anyone recommend a full case? (preferably clear, as was no point me getting a jet black if not, also preferably not a bumper, as that will still scratch the back)
Getting a jet black 7+, and terrified of scratching the poor thing! :(

I have just ordered one of these to put my black 128GB 7 plus in, I have had two of them before and they are perfect for protecting the phone from scratches without adding much size to the phone but they are not the best if your the type of person that is likely to drop there phone but that's the price you pay for having an extremely thin case.

Which case? you didnt mention?

Im not likely to drop it, ive only dropped my 6 plus 3-4 times since ive had it. its more the scratches that im worried about, ive had cheap generic cases for my 6 plus, and its left it with a couple dinks along the top, and in the bag corners i have groups of little dinks (looks like acne) obviously where some dirt or something has got in the back of the case.

So dont want the same thing to happen on the jet black. A few people have mentioned the ringke fusion....

Just checked my Three sim deal, definitely hasn't gone up.

The One Plan - 12 months
2000 minutes
5000 messages
5000 three to three calls
Unlimited data
Personal hotspot
£15 a month

With WhatsApp, iMessage and the other half being on Three I effectively never pay more than the £15pcm. I used 18GB of data too :p

I used to get it for £15 a month for years and now pay £30 and don't understand how they can double the price for some people and leave others as they are, it wouldn't bother me so much if they had increased the price for everyone at the same time.

Fair play to you though, hold on to it for as long as you can

Thanks. This looks like another option. Have you ordered clear or black?

There's really no need to pay much for these cases, I'll be getting one myself but everyone's version will basically be the same. Definitely not one to invest in a brand for.

I personally prefer the Tech21 cases. It is the perfect balance between size, thickness, good grip (non slippery), protection, button access, durability and price.

Yeah, I'm more than happy to pay around a tenner for a decent case. I've had plenty of £2-3 cases, and most of them feel really brittle and feel like they wouldn't last up against a big impact really. Admittedly they are safer than a naked iPhone :p

Incredible deal !!! Keep forrrrrrevvvverrrrr (like I will mine :p)

Also I just checked if I bought a sim free phone its like £33 a month for 24 months on credit anyway so its like a 'contract' anyway with less ties for £48 a month, kind of your own mix and match setup but a 'free lance' sort of way if that makes sense, lol

They did the same to me - I called them and said I'm leaving - they gave me unlimited minutes and texts and 30gb data for 20 p/m which I happily accepted. Especially as they're putting another 20+ countries on the 'Feel at Home' within the next few weeks.

If they ask where you can get a better deal from quote the Vodafone one for 19.20 (although they didn't ask me).

Cannot seem to find the answer to this but can i still buy AppleCare if oi get the phone via three on a contract? Or is it only on a phone brought from Apple?

I don't get the issue, Apple want to lock you in to upgrading every year. You take the upgrade option then you can either upgrade next year (same monthly costs) but you hand back the 7. Or you don't upgrade the phone and finish the monthly payments (20 months) total to own the phone outright.

The only "issue" is that the upgrade is a poor deal. If you want interest free credit over 20 months then go for it but, if you're planning to take the upgrade option, you're better off buying outright and selling the old phone yourself.

I guess the issue is you're effectively writing off about £300 a year if you keep upgrading? I get that you'd have depreciation if you bought and then sold again but I don't think it would be that steep if you kept it in one piece?

Exactly. Even flogging the old phone to the recycling companies will get you a better deal than the Apple upgrade programme, let alone if you actually sell it 'properly' on AVF or similar.

I think there is additional value with apple care thrown in for the same cost.

AppleCare+ isn't thrown in at all, the £119 cost is added to the cost of the phone and you pay for both over 20 months.

What about applecare, can that be moved to a new phone? (If purchasing outright).

AppleCare+ (note the plus!) is tied to the handset and must be taken out at time of purchase or very soon thereafter (following an inspection of your phone at a shop).

I'm sure I remember Applecare being £60 a few years ago but now it's £120. Have they moved from 1 year to 2 year or something?

The original AppleCare was much cheaper and all it did was effectively extend your manufacturer's warranty to two years. You could take that out at any time during the first year.

That's no unavailable and replaced with AppleCare+ which costs more but also provides protection for two claims of accidental damage, with a £25 excess for a broken screen or £79 for any other damage. This has to be taken out when you buy the phone or within about 30 days (I think) afterward, in which case you have to have your phone checked at a store to prevent people who drop their phone straight away trying to pull a fast one.

If you are buying this with a view to upgrading next year then surely you are losing £60? Which makes the upgrade program look more appealing..

The upgrade program forces you to take AppleCare+, which you still pay for.

I wasn't going to but someone mentioning the new apple cases having metal buttons for the 7 tipped me over the edge, ordered a black 7 plus 128gb with black leather case, 0% interest for 4months with PayPal credit plus got corporate discount on the case, saving me a whole £4!.

Get to pass my 6s plus onto my mum which is a bonus, and she's giving me the 6 64gb I give her a few months ago so I'll sell that to recoup some of the cost.
