Control - 9/10

I somehow totally overlooked this game on release and stumbled across it in my list of PSN freebies. I didn't even realise it was by the same developer as Max Payne/Alan Wake until I read some of the Wake easter eggs. Anyway, really fun game, they put a load of effort into the worldbuilding via files/tapes/videos, with a similar feeling to Wake but less shonky and much bigger in scope. Seems Remedy just keep getting better and better at making games as the years go by.
 
I really enjoyed Control as well, recently. Didn’t really get on with it the last few time I’ve tried but I played it on the PS5 and it was slick. Cool story. Then I played AW1 so I’m a bit of a Remedy convert and can’t wait to play AW2 now. Hate the map systems that’s my only gripe.
 
Finished Deadspace remake. 8.5/10

Not much had changed from the original apart from a few more weapons are viable. Still throughly enjoyed it.

One bigger thing has changed, you couldn't backtrack in the original but in the Remake the tram system works differently, effectively making Ishimura "open-world":P

Finally finished Black Myth Wukong last night, a couple of the bosses were tough, but I'm pleased I stuck with it.
I've started NG+ revenge run, be interesting to see how quick I can do it, got up to Tiger Vanguard in one session and beat him in about 30 seconds so it may not take too long other than the last couple of bosses (I hope!)

GOTY for me by a mile, what next is the question, I'm replaying HZD remastered which I'm enjoying and nearly done, plus FC25, but I want something new to get into as well.

Still not a patch on Sekiro but the similarities in combat was what drew me in (yeah, it was the booteh, who am I kidding). A pretty fun gane overall but terrible chars and story compared to the inspiration.
 
Last of Us 1 remake on PS5 - 7/10

First time playing this (never played the original). I felt like I was watching a semi decent movie, nothing amazing. Gameplay was very 'meh' to me. What surprised me most was how little I cared for the characters, usually this is something that I normally enjoy in story based games, however I just didn't feel anything in this. Definitely overhyped.

Sure you were playing TLOU and not Tetris?

TLOU has some of the best character development ever - both games were an emotional rollercoaster for me!
