The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

I completed the base campaign of the 3 Act, Path of Exile 2 beta today (the full release will have 6 acts).

I now have to complete the game again on cruel difficulty, to unlock the end game maps.

Highly recommended

Got the platinum on Astro Bot last night. Really enjoyed it, not quite the level of the first game in some ways because it’s not as ‘new’ as that first release but still an absolute gem. Still find the monkey hand things quite janky, so struggled with the red bird on the speed run but finally did it! :)

The Devil in Me. Wasn’t great to be honest. Loved the murder hotel premise but felt so unpolished compared to until dawn and even the quarry. All the characters were pretty unlikeable and dialogue was pretty poor. Ah well at least it was on plus.

5.5/10

Last of Us 1 remake on PS5 - 7/10

First time playing this (never played the original). I felt like I was watching a semi decent movie, nothing amazing. Gameplay was very 'meh' to me. What surprised me most was how little I cared for the characters, usually this is something that I normally enjoy in story based games, however I just didn't feel anything in this. Definitely overhyped.

Oh gosh you can't possibly voice this here, despite it matching my experience somewhat.
I can't recall any of the characters outside of the main two but I don't recall them being badly written.
Gameplay though yeah, played that game many times before and struggled to finish it. Didn't bother with the second yet.

You can voice it but a lot of us don’t necessarily agree with that opinion:)

And that's fine because that goes both ways :) Voicing an opinion just because you think it's a popular one results in a Reddit like echo chamber anyway.
Not saying that is the case here. I'm sure plenty of people genuinely think Uncharted zombie edition was absolute peak third person gameplay.

Days Gone - 8.5/10

2nd time around. Enjoyed it more for sure. Such a shame the game was a bit of a shambles when it released, maybe we would have gotten a sequel.

Oh, I found it quite buggy on the PS5 Pro as well. Had to restart the game several times due to graphical glitches and falling through the world. Never happened with the PS5.

Iirc they’re “remastering” days gone to test the water for a potential sequal, is what I heard ? I could be totally wrong.

The game was pretty well set up for a sequel but the creative director was a total nutjob and got moved on from his role. He was having a go a few months back because he thought it was ridiculous for Deacon to be in Astro Bot.

The last of us part 1. Quite refreshing playing a linear story based game instead of an open world game 8/10. I've started part 2 but think I need a break from the series for a bit to get the motivation to play though it.

If it was me I’d be thrilled to see one of my characters represented in astrobot. How strange.

I’ll buy the remaster because I enjoyed the OG so much. Biking around the forests of Oregon was great, especially when it rained or snowed.

The last of us part one remastered

9/10

First game I've played in over 6 months and first on my PS5 which I recently bought to catch up on the exclusives I've missed out on and what a way to get back into it, really enjoyed it and looking forward to playing the next one but don't want to start it too soon after the first so playing Uncharted at the moment

Yeah, this especially was something I really loved in the game. Just driving through forests covered with snow, I remember this being something I did a ton during lockdown.

Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom

7/10

Enjoyed the art style and general look of the game. I didn't really enjoy the summoning enemies with the staff to do the fighting on your behalf but using it solve puzzles was quite enjoyable. Also either I missed it or it wasn't explained very well what to do with the power crystals so completed the whole game never upgrading the sword/bow/bombs at all!

Astrobot 9/10. Great game, one of the best this year...

If there were some extra levels that were challenging (I struggled on only two, and most bosses were down on the first time) and more time trial levels without the add ons I'd of given it the top marks.

Still Wakes the Deep

Immersive horror, great story and excellent voice acting.

Far Cry 5
8/10
It took about three attempts to get into this game but I’m glad I eventually got into it. There are some bugs but it’s a good fun shooter, at least in my eyes.

Black Ops 6 Campaign. Was the usual affair but i honestly enjoyed it even tho it was still pretty short but same as all COD campaigns have been in recent times. Guns felt great and some of the silly bits were fun. Ending was meh..

6.5/10
