The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

The guns feel great, the graphics are superb its actually pretty fun.
I haven’t checked what the consensus is on multiplayer but my personal opinion is it’s one of the best yet. Feels so fluid and smooth but I must disclaim that I’m not very good at it :D and I haven’t yet learnt the sideways movement stuff

Completed the demo of AI Limit on ps5 pro and promptly pre ordered it as its 10% off and well priced.

It's a decent soulslike - the bosses in the demo were well done.

It's a shame it releases on the same day as First Bezerker Kazan another soulslike that I have preordered.

Dying Light 2 - 8/10

I've sunk some 83hrs into this and it only became truly enjoyable after the Christmas ingame events, which granted me a lovely weapon that I used from then uptil now. The game starts out a chore and remains that way for sometime as the story is pretty much drivel. There's a lot of time trial missions here, which clutter up your ingame mission list - I hate that stuff.

The combat is fun, but not as good as DL1 from what I recall - I hardly did any of the special combat moves in this, maybe a controller complicated this as I played DL1 on PC/Keyboard/Rat. Parkour is flat out superb and zipping around the cities is easy.

Visuals are superb and the game can run in balanced mode at 1440p40 on the PS5.

Arizona Sunshine Remake and Arizona Sunshine 2 PSVR2, I'd give them both a 7/10 as a VR zombie apocalypse experience. Enjoyed them both, were a nice introduction to VR.

Fair play - I tried about 4 times to get into it, but it just feels so meh compared to the first game, not sure I'd be able to put the time in to maybe get past the initial dullness of the game and story though. One of my biggest annoyances was how the runners just turn up now - whereas before, they were a punishment for making too much of a racket... I felt it took something away from the game (minor I know)

Oh I hear you. There's a lot of unexplained things in the game and even at post endgame a lot of mechanics aren't even explained. I had to really force myself to play this as even half way through it didn't feel fun. Then out of no where it finds its footing but it was probably far too late for most folks.

Hopefully The Beast returns the series to form but I'm doubtful.

Control 8/10

What a weirdly great game - other than the Hartman boss at the end of the final expansion - that fight can go **** itself, what a PITA.

I really kept getting Half Life / Portal vibes when running around the Old House and reading all the notes though, certainly wouldn't feel out of place in that universe.

Ghostwire Tokyo 6/10

Core gameplay was quite fun and enjoyable however enemy variety was quite limited and along with the collectible marathon got quite repetitive, story was generally enjoyable.

Recently finished this myself and quite enjoyed it. I am constantly looking out for games that are like "prey" and this was recommended. Not as good as prey but worth a play through. Pretty dull towards the end as you're overpowered really.

Robocop 7.5/10

A very good game - for the fans mostly. For those that haven't seen the film, I can see you struggling and I'd recommend watching the first two. Its an old school straightforward game with no bloat of today titles like collectibles etc. It reminds me a lot of Max Payne 1 with its destructable (to an extent) environments.

I struggled midway through the game as I feel it goes on for a bit longer than it should. I did mostly everything and that clocked in at 19hrs played though it feels a bit longer. Quality mode gets you a consistent 4k30 so aiming is a little on the slow side and panning around is sometimes jarring. Performance nets you an unlocked 60fps but the textures look like PS3 grade material, frame rates vary.

There is a ton of fan service here with a lot of material/characters from the game. The last 2 missions are brilliant. Its a shame I got to understand a major feature of the game (customising the A9 gun) right at the end as it is so poorly explained. It could be because I was distracted by Dying Light 2 that I was playing alongside this.

Finished the main story on Indiana Jones which was excellent, would have made a great story for a film. The game was absolute dross but the main story kept me going through an under average game play experience. Not bothering with any of the collectables or extra side missions because the rewards in game play aren't there. Sorry 9/10, gameplay 2/10.

Sniper Elite 4 - 8.5/10

Man, this was my first sniper elite game and I had a blast throughout my 26hrs played, which came rather fast given I averaged about 2hrs per map. I've just walloped Hitler so I'm in the DLC's now for a bit more. Not bad for £3.49 for the entire lot thanks to someone on the 'Offers & Bargains' thread!

I notice Sniper Elite 5 is £16 on PSN at the moment so I need to look at how that performs on the PS5. If it can manage 60fps like its predecessor then I'm all for it!

Edit: Apparently SE5 is 4k60 so it's purchased!

Resident Evil 3 on Xbox Series X. I hated the original Resi 3 Nemesis on PS1 after it departed from Resi 2 in gameplay style. I think this came in for a bit of stick when it came out, but I enjoyed the story and gameplay. 8/10 from me.
