Deus Ex: Human Revolution - I've had this game in my Library for years and only just got round to playing it. Superb game and one I didnt want to end. 9/10

It's really nice when you play a game that's been sat in your library for a long time, and things turn out for a great gaming experience. Kind of unexpected (as you haven't played it before), but very rewarding. :)

Totally agree. With this current drought of games over the last few months I have been going through my library and playing some really decent games I have bought but never got round to playing. :)

Metro Last Light
Metro 2033
Alien Rage
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Call of Juarez Gunslinger

I just finished Human Revolution last night too (the Director's Cut version). I'd only give it a 7/10 though. It's a solid enough game, but very samey and the plot didn't grip me at all. The boss fights are absolute pants as well. The stealth mechanics are enjoyable though, speaking as someone who doesn't really enjoy stealth for the most part (probably because they're not punishing at all). Once you get the ability to see through walls and cloak for 30+ seconds at a time it's fun to take everybody down.

+1

2016 has been such an abysmal year for decent releases that I've been rediscovering gems I didn't even realise I had.

Latest completion: Batman Arkham City - 8/10 (Brilliant in 3440*1440)

ENSLAVED - Odyssey to the West:

Gameplay - 7
Story - 9
Characters - 10
Overall - 8.5

I've tried playing through this a couple of times and have got as far as when you first reach Trip's old hometown before getting a bit bored. It looks incredible (especially with shadow fix/tweaks) for a UE3 game and the cutscenes are really well directed. I also like the chemistry between Trip and Monkey. I just wish I didn't get bored of the gameplay after a few hours...

I agree, the gameplay is a bit dull but the artstyle is fantastic and the relationship between Trip and Monkey is uber-cute, I continued playing just for that;p Still couldn't finish it, though. Watched the rest of the cutscenes on YT.

The Bunker

3/10

Rubbish story, good acting/footage but not much of it, still worth 3 points. Gameplay virtually non existence. If a Tex Murphy adventure came out with this quality footage it would be fantastic. Basically £15 for a rubbish 2 hour movie.
