The last game you completed, and rating.

Ryse son of rome on pc, 9/10 I loved every single minute of it, the fights the feel and the setting was like being in a high budget blockbuster Romen movie with great voice acting and animations, man them killing blows are amazing.

Did you complete it? I found it incredibly repetitive... Maybe a 6 out of 10.

I like the game, but some parts I got to later on where insanely tough, that I gave it up.
Will have to get at it again before the sequel comes out though :)

I kept at them and completed it all. I should clarify I did the definitive edition first - then went back and completed the original. I found the toughest bits were the escape sequences. Took about 14 hours first time and about half that the second.

In fact for me this is the first game I didn't go and check a video online to see what to do next.

The gameplay was a bit repetitive although the combat was always satisfying I thought. It was the settings and story that made it an 8 out of 10 for me. I'd love to play through more games with a story set in Roman times but they all tend to be strategy games don't they? Imagine how cool a game based on the Spartacus TV series would be? If the developer had the spheres to put seem proper adult content in it. I'd love to see what The Witcher guys could do with it...

I feel that Ryse managed to survive it's repetitive nature not only because it looked nice, was gifted with an epic environment and had pretty decent VA, but also because it was pretty short. Not sure I'd have enjoyed it as much if it went on for much longer, but having got it free from Game Sessions last year It was a good experience for me, especially as good "gladiator" style action games are few and far between. Plus since I didn't have the Steam version there was no pressure from a glut of achievements!

Hollow. Sci-fi horror where the game starts as you dock a seemingly abandoned ship in space with no idea who you are or what you're doing. There are clues as to what is going on as you progress through the game although ultimately there are a lot of questions left unanswered which apparently will be revealed in Hollow 2. I enjoyed playing through the game, the soundtrack and atmosphere it created was effective with some genuinely scary and creepy parts. It perhaps lacks a little bit of polish in that it isn't always obvious what you are supposed to be doing (although maybe that was deliberate as I heard the developers took inspiration from more old school horror games) and I also encountered a bug 10 minutes before the end of the game which meant I had to watch the end of the game on YouTube. I'd give the game a 7 out of 10 plus a point for having boobs on each and every enemy I encountered ( :D ) but then I'll have to doc half a point for the bug at the end. Final score of 7.5/10.

lol of course I completed it I loved the hell out of it with not a single boring moment, I tend to immerse myself into these types of games, it had taken me a whole week after completing it to relies I wasn't a real roman solider but just a man prancing around in my girlfriends red skirt and using the hand blender as a sword, was taken to A&E and treated for GGIS (good game immersion syndrome). 9/10

Dying Light. 7.5/10.
Liked all of the running & jumping about, the leaping into zombies & sending them flying. The AI was lacking in any I though ;)
Often I could throw some fire crackers & the zombies would just fall off of buildings to their deaths whilst following the crackling noises.
Combat was bit too easy. More so when you could just stand on top of a van whilst crouching & hack 'n' slash 'em all.
Enjoyed the game for the most part.....

Then there was the dream like scene where trying to chase after Jade. That part alone guarantees I'll never start the game fresh ever again, ye gads that was terribad!

Got to the end aaaaaaaaaand.....cut scene stuff where you just press A,S,D or W to get to the next part, rinse & repeat until the final part where you have to press F,F,F,F,F,F,F..... /sigh

Such a bad ending, for what was in general an enjoyable game.
Think I'll try something else before I enter The Following DLC, just to get rid of that little bitter after taste ;)

Was it the original or Directors Cut you played? I ask because I noticed I have both in my library (don't remember getting them) and wondered if one is worth playing over the other when I get round to looking at it...

Thimbleweed Park

9/10.

Loved it. Fun characters and storyline. Was just what I needed to break me from my Dota addiction :D

The Following DLC is brilliant, great straight on it you wont regret it :)

Hmm. I'm currently playing Witcher 3 and loving each & every moment of it. Great story. Great graphics. Great gameplay. I've already clocked over 460 hours. One thing I have to complain about is the difficulty, I have it on Death March mode(with level upscaling) and still find the game easy! I thought having DM mode would present me with the ultimate challenge of finding herbs to make potions to fight a boss(contract) and making sure you have the best weapon for your level to even stand a chance at even fighting a contract! Same goes for armor. But it turns out that I have no need to mess with alchemy unless the quest requires it. I've still got the Temerian armor on since I arrived at White Orchard and a sword way below my level that I can still kick ass with. Apart from that, the game is still great. 9/10 for me.

Dragon Age: Origins, on the other hand, is the best game I have ever played.

The Following makes up for the ending of the first part of the game imo. It's more like a sequel.
