Halo 2 13/20
+Some nice cutscenes
+Fairly seamless level progression, the mid-level "Loading..." is very subtle and in fact several levels were pretty much chained together with no noticeable intermission save for a cutscene
+Better than Halo; when you break the game down into its base components, it is pretty ordinary, but it kept me coming back for more
+Excellent performance, solid 120fps
+Nice to play as the Arbiter as well as Master Chief
+Although it is a bit cheesy I liked the fact that you could just run through some sections rather than having to kill every last baddie
+A couple of epic sections such as when you are supporting Sarge in the big robot thing
-Very poor graphics for a game that came out the same year as Crysis, in fact they are significantly worse than even 2004 games such as FC/D3/HL2. The indoor textures in particular are incredibly bland and look like something out of, well, Halo!
-Some checkpoint triggers to progress the game are a bit contrived, there was one big room where you win a fight I was then wandering around for about 2mins before I finally walked on the right pixel and moved things on.
-Weapon controls are a bit fiddly, much as with Halo swapping weapons over can be a bit of a faff
-Final boss was a bit disappointing, both in terms of the fight itself (save for AI help) and the ending which feels like I have unfinished business.
-Too easy on Normal difficulty, some levels I completed without dying
-No indicator of which way you need to go, its all a bit 1990s really.
-Combination of linear progression and repetitive level design isn't a good one
