The last game you completed, and rating.

Spec Ops: The line 6.5/10

+Original storyline that keeps you guessing as to who the true heroes and villains are, if any
+Decent visuals and performance
+Totally epic set piece hosing down a tower complex with minigun from the air, felt like something right out of Clear and Present Danger

-Blatant console port with tooltips showing XB360 buttons. There also appears to be some sort of bug whereby when zoomed in sometimes invert mouse isn't applied unless you also invert the Y-axis on the controller setup
-A few jerky transitions when autosaving etc
-Environments generally a bit bland (perhaps to be expected given the setting)

Overall the actual gameplay is pretty ordinary (certainly not up to the standard of FPS games like COD/MOH/BF series) but the original plot is good enough to keep you plugging away to see how it pans out.

Dishonored ; truly a 9.5 out of 10 - Great storytelling, scripting. I was a bit un-pleased about it being not total "free roam" like they suggested, It was an amazing experience but would you really expect any thing less from Bethesda.

Secret Files: Tunguska
Adventure

I find it sad that I can only give this game a rating of 5/10. If it were not for the horrible, horrible voice acting (did I say how horrible I think it is) I'd probably have rated it 8-8.5/10.

Voice acting
1/10
I found it to be truly terrible. In fact if there was a reward for bad voice acting I'd nominate this game as a candidate. Apparently the original German version had great voice acting. The English dub, though, is barely acceptable. The accents... the main character (female) has a Yankee accent that does not fit the character at all. Other characters have Jersey accents (I suppose it's supposed to make them sound like gangsters?) The sentences are not "equalised"; one moment it sounds like someone is talking in a large echoing cavern and their next sentence is all muffled, followed by another quick trip into the cavern -- all while standing in the same place. Some of the words spoken are incorrect (e.g. that water is a tribute of the blah blah river). Oh well, nobody's perfect.

Graphics
8/10
It's an old game so the graphics are not cutting edge and there aren't very many options settable in the game. I ended up setting the graphics settings from the nVidia control panel and they ended up looking acceptable -- especially for the type of game.

Music
Didn't really notice it... probably because I was restraining myself from smashing my monitor due to the voice acting.

Story
8/10
A bit unbelievable but enjoyable and consistent.

Puzzles
8/10
A good mixture of easy, medium and hard. None were mind blowing hard, but usually the mind blowing hard puzzles in these games are illogical anyway so I didn't miss their appearance.

Overall
5/10

Conclusion
If it were possible to replace the voices I'd give the game a much higher score. I did enjoy it and to be fair the voice acting got a bit better towards the end of the game. It's just such a shame about the voices... apart from that it's a great adventure.

Tropico 4

I slated it when it was first released, but having not played Tropico 3 for so long, I really appreciated the improvements made over the previous title. Sure this should have just been an expansion pack, but if this is cheap enough I would certainly recommend it.

7/10

Far Cry 3 (well as much of it as I can stand anymore)

Pros:
- turned all the way up the game looks very good
- voice acting is excellent, as are the sounds and musical score
- the story is decent and the main characters are great

Cons:
- the enemies are seriously dumb
- gameplay is repetitive
- weapon customisation is very limited
- crafting feels out of place in this game
- vehicle control is terrible

6.5/10

It has been a while since I had a chance to play a game to completion since the birth of my son a year ago. La Noire I think. I play a lot of sports games that have no end as such

Saints Row: The Third

Rating : 9/10

Fantastic game, had me engrossed right up until I completed the last few challenges and right throughout the storyline. Spent 47.3 hours on the game since I bought it a week ago. Would recommend to anyone, unless they have small children about!

Lost a point because I don't think the storyline was long enough, even at 47 missions long.

Dark Souls - 9/10.

One of the best combat systems in any game and some of the most atmospheric locations and music to go with it. Gwyn's theme in particular is a stand out track. It's completely different from what you would expect as a final battle theme from a game like this.

I picked this up on the last steam sale and im glad I did and agree with you I found it really fun as it doesn't take itself too seriously and the VTOL is brilliant fun!

Bulletstorm

8/10

Actually enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than i thought i would,
- Amusing storyline and characters
- Some really good moments of shooting battles
-the giant monster controlling part was epic
-Was fairly short too so didn't outstay its welcome imo

i'd recommend it if your looking for a fun quick blast to take your mind off any longer game i.e Skyrim, Mass Effect

i got this based on this perfect advice, id give it 8.5/9 / 10

this is this because i really needed a game to relax with.:D

Code of Honor 2: Conspiracy Island 5/10. Only bought this in a recent GMG sale because I was so pleasantly surprised by COH3: Desperate Measures

+Good weaponry
+Easy pickup'n'play game
+Constant 120fps
+Worth £3 trade in on GMG, despite the fact that I only paid £1.87 for it!

-Textures seems really bad, don't really understand as COH3 looked better, I think it may be that the Jupiter EX (FEAR) engine and assets are much better suited to office
environments.
-Very short game, didn't keep tabs on it exactly but I think it only lasted about 2.5hrs
-Fairly low budget production values, wooden voice acting and no real sense of characterisation, everyone seemed keen to kill this Mendoza guy but you don't build up any kind of empathy with your posse or hatred of the enemy
-Game crashed when loading the first level no matter what I tried, only solution was to use a 'fixed' .exe file, 1.9MB instead of 9.8MB, so no doubt some sort of crappy DRM interfering.
-Combat didn't seem up to COH3 standards for some reason
-Dunno if it was a high framerate issue but the running speed is very slow, only like 1.1x walking speed.

Risen: 7/10

-Nice atmosphere and scenery.
-Funny characters/dialogue.
-Was tough completing some quests with no sense of direction on certain ones.
-Beginning was hard due to no equipment hardly.
-No fast travel until later in the game.
-Decent game length took me about 30h.
