The last game you completed, and rating.

Star Trek Resurgence, picked it up cheap. Is it the best graphically looking story game I've played, no way and it's not without it's quirks and glitches but the story felt like a proper Star Trek adventure without all the modern stuff Discovery pushes.

However who ever on the dev team thought adding stealth missions to this needs their head checked. Horrible levels that really stop the flow of the rest of the game.

6 / 10.

I am playing this now, stealth missions? Not git that far yet. Wtf are stealth missions doing in this game?

Is that game stable on your rig? I keep getting the UE4 crash error on mine.

There's 2 and they don't fit this style of game at all and almost made me stop playing as they ruin the flow (as does any stealth mission in a game that doesn't require them)

Played for 10 hours before completing and had 0 crashes / issues with it.

Jus finished Mafia (definitive) - Decent game, good story and pretty good gameplay, driving feels nice which I also remember really enjoying in M2 classic (cars in 1 feel pretty slow... but it was the 30s lol).
Not usually in to cover shooters but the mix of other gameplay and especially the narative really carried it (played the last half on Antec hs core handheld, I think this helped as if I'm at my desk I'd end up playing ark/battlefield/city builders usually.)

Now to play through 2&3, but might fit another play through of GTA4/5 in first.... or maybe go back to starfield for a bit

As much as I liked 5, never really got into 4 although I understand it is decent.

Probs due to not being able to run it properly when it came out.

Any mods out there to make it more pretty...?

Great storyline IMO and the 2 DLCs (Lost and the Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony) are very entertaining too.
Was definitely hard to run well until several years after launch.

For visual mods, I was gonna say ice-enhancer, but it is a bit overly glossy. there's some good suggestions here:

Broken Sword Reforged, my most nostalgic game and played through so many times but this latest release with improved graphics was well done (not perfect, a few issues which could be sorted in a patch but not sure they will) and it never fails to make me smile. A game I will always return to. 10/10

Oh don't do that to me, I'm not sure I need yet another copy of this game..... :D

:D I agree there have been a lot of releases (and not all great - directors cut). This is worth it I can promise you that - they have been faithful to the original fans and the ability to switch between old and new instantly (TAB button) you can really take in and appreciate the work they have done with the new art. It's brilliant :)

Sigh.... Wishlisted :D

Doom 64. Nicer graphics than Doom on the PC (original version) but less challenging levels and easier to find secrets. I tried original Doom and it looked dreadful. I didn't remember it looking so blocky when I played it in the early 90s but I wasn't playing it on a 43 inch screen but a 14 inch monitor back then is probably why. I'd give it 8 out of 10 as it is the only game which has kept me engaged recently.

Finsihed up Judgment the other day.

It takes the essence of the Yakuza games and puts a slightly different spin on them by having the main character a detective rather than a Yakuza or ex-Yakuza. It didn't alter too much really, except for making some missions have a slightly more private investigator flavour (explore crime scenes, tail suspects, interrogate people and collate evidence, etc.). In the end those sections started to wear a bit thin, I thought, especially the tailing supsects and object-hunting scene investigations.

Yagami and Kaito are decent enough central characters and the main story is pretty good, but in the end it didn't really push the envelope of the other games in the series. Nice to be virtually back in Kamurocho, and it lives up to the LAD series other entries without standing out. So, about a good 7.5/10 I guess.

Subnautica - 9.5/10

23rd complete game on Steam, backlog is going really well since ditching PS5 earlier this year.
Couldn't put this game down once I started, lots of late night finishes. It would have been 10/10 if my Prawn suit hadn't got stuck in the scenery meaning it was unrecoverable (even after using unstuck and reloads) and then I was stranded and had to seaglide all the way back to my base 1.5km away.

I keep trying to get into this, but I just don't get it. It's utterly boring and I know I must be missing something, but it's so dull swimming around, aimlessly.

Hehe, I wouldn't say aimlessly - there are plenty of objectives to complete, materials and upgrades to discover. You just have to follow the instructions in the radio messages to get started.
