Wolfenstein The New Order 8/10

First time I've played an FPS in a long time and really liked playing it. Good story, looks great, soundtrack fits really well and definitely worth a play.

COD Ghosts 7/10

Yes, pretty much the same as the others but I do enjoy the single player side of the game.

finished it 4-6 hours I think, story is the same old "save the world" that you get in others but its still a fun play.

Not tried multiplayer, mainly because I've not enjoyed a COD MP since COD2.

Tomb Raider

Finally got round to playing this little gem, despite appearances it is a little more linear that I would have liked, some puzzles and extra tombs decent enough distractions but was finding myself getting a little bored towards the end as story was clear from pretty early on. Never too difficult, great cinematic feel and a very solid title!

8/10

Very linier, very little actual exploring, dont think I ever actually raided a tomb
Lasted a bit too long imo
Cliche story
Lara went from innocent to rambo very quickly
its not supposed to hasve a lot of tombs its before she started sher hates tombs :p

the next one is going to be more like the others

Metro: Last Light - 6/10

Not nearly as good as the first.

The AI sets a new (low) standard for being dumb. It's just amazingly stupid. Enemies walk right past you if you crouch. You can punch a guy in the face right next to his buddy, knock him out, and so long as the other guy is looking the other way, do the same to him next :p

One time I left a pile of bodies by stabbing people in the leg as they walked past. Since the base was on alert (I'd been spotted), all the enemies proceeded to walk past me in a line and I stabbed them all in the leg, which apparently is fatal. People in Metro keep vital organs in their legs it seems. Also stabbing in the arse is fatal too.

Anyway, the first was very original and had some amazing, memorable moments. This doesn't, except maybe the ending fight.

The game is pretty badly balanced. Human enemies are far too easy, while all the mutants soak up ammo like you aren't even hurting them. They also really over-use the "you're trapped here for 1 minute now fend waves of mutants until a door opens" bs. Not once, not twice, but about 6 times in the game you fend off the same waves of the same mutants, just to deplete all your ammo. Until a sodding door opens. /rage

Last Light isn't a bad game, but 2033 was brilliant, and this just isn't in the same league.

walking dead season 2,

played all eps back to back, not quite as good as season 1, i found my decisions had even less effect with what was going on than season 1, season 1, you could at least make a few characters die or survive a bit longer, in season 2 i couldnt seem to effect anything until the last 10 mins of the last chapter where there was a few different endings. still enjoyed the story nonetheless.

8/10

Ha, this brightened my dismal day a lot :D

Assassins Creed III Deluxe Edition 6/10 and thats being generous.

Really didn't like this one anywhere as much as II and IV. Didn't like the storyline, it just doesn't seem to be as strong as the other two. Bloody cut scenes, the bane of pc gaming these days. It seemed like 50% of the game was taken up by cut scenes. I buy a game to play it. If I want to watch a movie I will put a DVD on!! This one seemed more repetitive than the other too. I completed the main game but got fed up halfway through the Tyranny of George Washington. I think I am done with this franchise now. IV has been the best one for me.

Lego marvel superheroes bought for a couple of pound on the steam winter sale, 99hours later me and my daughter have just achieved 100%completion. Apart from a few bugs the game was awesome, 10/10.

Deponia = 9/10

Very good point and click adventure which is quite old now but on a positive ive got another 2 installments to play and dont have to wait for them :)

Binary Domain.

Meh, it's a 6/10. There was nothing stand out about it, but nothing offensively bad either (except for that mouse acceleration, much better once I switched to a controller). It's an install once, play it, beat it and never look at it again type game.

Tomb Raider

Seems I am in the recently decided to play it camp after owning it for quite some time.

9/10 for me

Some great action in this game - the bow is great fun and the weapon of choice
Puzzles aren't too hard but I prefer the action side of things anyway
Fantastic graphics - even the missus commented on how good they looked
Game length about right for me

Given this game game be picked up so cheaply it's a proper bargain. I loved the Unchartered games on the PS3 and this isn't dissimilar and arguably more fun in places.

Is this the version released in March last year, on Steam for £14.99?

Yes and as stated already, it can be had much much cheaper. It's €4.79 on Kinguin for a Steam Gift key. Silly price for such a good game.

Never used Kinguin before, why do they say this...
