The Last of Us Part II

Is this potentially the biggest fall from grace since ET on the Atari 2600?
I bet ND thought they had balls of steal doing what they did, instead they'v made themselves look pretty tone death to their audience.

Yes, I agree and that's what I'm talking about, graphics, world design and maybe parts of gameplay can make it a 7.

Other than that, I was in for the story so I didn't mind spoiling myself once I saw too many red flags. The gameplay alone won't make me play it and I'm so baffled by the execution of it all that I'd gladly write a tirade about it but I still don't want to spoil anything for people going in fresh so I'll leave it at that.

I've never seen such a dissatisfying ending to a game as this one. I gave the gameplay a pass on the first as I liked the story. Having butchered it and given one of the worst endings in recent memory, I'd have felt completely cheated if I bought it.

I'm dubious that any publication would have the gall to slate the story in any way due to some of the hot topics it covers. Wouldn't want to be seen as anti <whatever> because they dared to point out some obvious flaws.

Not that publications were allowed to talk about 50% of the game.

Twitter just ruined this for me, I never even knew it was released today.

Devastated, only reason I kept my PS4 around.
 
Got it for £46 picking up tomorrow and borrowing a PS4 Pro kindly from @HungryHippos - I've caught wind of a few initial non-spoiler reviews and seen they've slated the lack of meaningful puzzles stuff like that but I'm in it for the story continuation from the previous games :cool:
