The Last of Us Part II

Literally fired the game up the other night. Still stunning but must admit 30fps stood out. Not up for a replay until they patched it. So good timing!

Hope the cutscenes are 60 too? Swear Ghosts of Tsushima cutscenes are still 30 which is jarring

Wow; I had restarted this only a few weeks back but immediately stopped as soon as I got to Seattle due to the speculation of a patch. I'm a pretty poor games player so completed this on very light on the first play through but the new effects / options intrigue me and I had restarted on Moderate with the slow aim effect as I'm terrible at aiming.

Anyone else playing with effects? I'm also tempted to also use mirror mode to further mix up the replay.

One awesome touch in this game is the weapon upgrade bench. The fact each upgrade has a dedicated animation is really quite awesome.

That is a nice touch but one moment I had I got attacked accessing one bench. 4 of 5 of them. That was a little funny.

I will say this again though, the slowness of the controls really annoys the hell out of me. Come on, Ellie is not some 80 year old. Interaction should be instant when getting into trouble. Everytime I play this I feel like some fat youngster that burns out in 5 seconds.

I still feel that one of the best controlling games I’ve probably played it’s mgs 5. Shame the story was cack

What do you mean slow controls? I still haven't bought this. Will be playing it on my lovely launch PS4 using my full high definition tv.

How long it takes to rotate 180, the slowness of standing up, the dodging, the running, the animation time it takes to get in and out of the bag when someone starts rushing you out of nowhere. Running out of breath in 5 seconds like you're some obese person. She's a young girl!

I have my sensitivity up pretty high and it still feels horribly slow and janky compared to other games.

It's like that feeling having your controller in mud. You go to other games and it moves like silk.

Similar to the first one really, the movement and actions have a 'weight' to them. It's deliberate and part of the style and pace of the game really, you aren't playing a twitchy military shooter after all.

I honestly never had an issue with how Ellie or Abby moves or responded and I've completed the game 3 times. I found it interesting in the differences between the two and how much heavier Abby felt to play.

Had a couple of hours with the new 60fps patch it's so much nicer now and it was pretty great before.

It seems to feel even more sluggish when you're being chased by mobs. As when I've tested it in safe areas running about it's a totally different feel.

I rarely use quick turn anyway.. I usually just mow the mobs down with the shotgun. :D

I also prepared myself for the workbench trap (when those enemies sneak up on you) with trip mines (it worked!) I couldn’t believe it! I placed the trip mine in the archway, and I didn’t even get tackled :p

I almost had a panic attack at that part.

I'm like haul ass off this god damn thing. MOOOOOOVE IT! It was a good setup though. :D

Can you buy a PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro anymore?

They don't seem to be stocked or listed anywhere.

When I hear people talk about them my original PS4 doesn't seem nice.

Your OG PS4 will play TLOU2 just fine, it's a stunning game. I especially don't see how the Slim would benefit?
