The Last Of Us

finished the game aswell as the DLC. Prob the best game I have ever played. I don't know how you guys can replay the whole game again. For me I loose the appeal once I have completed a game. ;)

Same. I can't remember many games that I have played through more than once. Maybe CoD 2 and 3 for the harder difficulties but since then never.

I very rarely play games twice, but for me TLoU if more like a TV series I love and can eventually re-watch than a game. So I was able to play it again after the DLC came out and still enjoy it hugely.

I look forward to picking up the PS4 version when it gets cheap enough, and I'll play it again. Partly for the satisfying story and partly for the satisfaction of being better prepared to tackle the opposition.

Anyway, like you I believe this is the best game I've ever played... and I've played "everything" since Pong on a black and white telly.

Anyone know where cheapest place i can grab this from? Was up for £25 the other day, £33 is the cheapest i can find now. (PS4)

If anyone is selling their copy, message me and MM it :)

Grounded + run is going better than expected, finished chapter 4 last night, and know what’s coming up helps as you find yourself holding onto resources ready to craft that nail/Molotov that you need. Hard bit is judging your health, as well as the hud not being there, the LED on the controller doesn’t change colour with your health as it did on survivor mode

Ha ha. I did considering doing a Grounded run for NG+ but then I realised I just wouldn't enjoy it as it would be my third play through. So I did Survivor+. I'm expecting it to be quite easy this time round as the only really difficult parts for me in Survivor mode were when you had to get round infected early on as opposed to taking them all out but now my Shiv's have 3 charges before breaking so I'll just shank the clickers :D.

The bits I thought would be hard (as I found them hard when playing on the PS3) I didn't really find that difficult at all.

e.g.

1. The generator part - I just followed the wire up the ramp, ran as far as I could and then when the bloater comes into view molotov him and run past in the burning confusion

2. Sniper street - this wasn't so bad second time round. I went left instead of right and found it quite easy

3. The battle in the locker rooms with Henry and Sam - again was alright. I had some supplies spare so upgraded a melee weapon and conked the two clickers which didn't get burned by my molotov with that for a insta-kill. The runners I either punched or shotgunned at the last minute for a 1 hit kill and the potential to get more than one down with a shot.

4. The battle with the infected with David where the bloater comes at the end - I remember struggling a little with this but it was fine on Survivor second time round... dunno maybe I was lucky with David hitting a few things before I hit them with an arrow so they died in 1 shot (mainly)

5. The first room in the hospital with the tonnes of soldiers after Joel breaks free - this was probably the most difficult part for me. I managed to get a few from stealth but annoyingly as soon as you get spotted it seems as if double the number spawn and come for you. Used nearly all my ammo getting rid of those but obviously they nearly all carry carbines so I had that with enough ammo to finish the last few enemies in the next room

yeah grounded is hard + you gotta preserve ammo hehe. i died a lot :P

about no.4
you gotta run, to avoid first 2, then sneak to the left, behind that window outside etc, quite easy

If you can find any resources :p.

The whole health thing sucks I haven't had to use any health kits yet, I'm to scared to waste a whole one on a little bit of health.

if you're on easy/normal and speeding/running 13-15h appx....
if you're on hard/survivor/ground and taking it slowly/enjoying every bit of chapter 18-20h...

I did it on normal and It didnt feel like it took me that long, mind I need to replay it because I found I wasnt getting any of them trophies.

I am going to try and knock the difficulty up and I wouldnt mind playing it again. It is my first game I have completed on the PS4 and would do it all over again. That game was amazing!

Just finished this amazing game for the second time, once on ps3 and now on ps4. Both times forgot about the medicine to boost up your hp etc until I got practically at the end:p
Awesome game, gonna have a go at the dlc for the first time.

Just finished this and is there an alternate ending or good reason to play it through again?

I shot the doctors and he lies to ellie after. Does the player have any choice in this outcome?

No alternate ending as far as I'm aware.

I restarted the game immediately after the first playthrough, this time on Grounded, I thought it was that good. First game in forever that I've actually gone back to for another run, best game I've played in years and the ending really worked for me.
