The Last Of Us

Is there much difference between the Ps3 and the PS4 version? I have completed the PS3 version but have heard the PS4 version is much better (Simply due to the 60fps) Is this true? If so I may have to invest in this when my PS4 arrives :)

I'm not sure it runs at a constant 60, seems to drop below fairly frequently.

While it dos drop below 60, its a huge improvement on the PS3 version (to see the difference trying locking the PS4 one at 30 fps, seems horrible in comparison)

Completed grounded + run over the weekend, it wasn’t quite as bad as I thought once you get used to checking you ammo all the time. Only bits that caused me a headache were

1. First section in Pittsburgh when you get out of the crashed car, and have the two groups chasing you.
2. The dreaded section with Eli, David and the bloater. Getting through the first bit was not to bad but always left me with only 1-2 bullets left (even after a few retires to try to get more), which meant the section after was brick/bottle/knife combo most of the time and very challenging, and almost got me to give up

I'm finding it easier too, those two specific sections were waaaaaay easier second time through.

I'm now only worried about upgrading the El Diablo and Shorty so i don't have to go through a 3rd time lol

I am just where you have met the bloke who makes all the booby traps. Can honestly say, i am awful at this game. I have killed everything i have seen up to yet, not in a stealthy fashion either :p
 
Am I quite early on in the game but does anyone know if choosing a different routes effects the game in anyway?

When making my way to the Capitol building it looked like the main route was to go through the broken ground in to the subway but I pushed the bin against the lorry and went over the top.

I search every room, every corner and find loads of different way into things. Doubt it has anything to do with the story line

people who are further than the elevator drop:

I **** my pants when i set the generator off and then all the infected come in running around in the pitch black :( i only realised after i manged to kill them all that shaking the pad turns the torch light back on. I sat in a corner and blew them all up one after another :D. Then took about 5 years to find the control room to get the key card.

I finished Grounded + last night but two things eluded me...

1. The comics.. they glitched on me. I was collecting them as normal up until the lakeside resort and then they stopped appearing. I checked my "collectables" page I had collected them all by the end of the game but it didn't unlock.

2. I was about 55 parts away from fully upgrading everything. Only the Shorty to upgrade on 2 sections. Meh.

Starting run 3 tonight... again on Grounded FFS.

It's actually quite important that you 'clear' areas otherwise quite often dialogue between Joel and Ellie won't trigger.

When playing as Eli you need to check and look at the items in her back pack (a comic book should be one), other wise even if you have them all it doesn't register in game, applies to the other bits in the back pack as well
 
Well been on this since 3.30.

One of them where i am like "ill get to the next cutscene then ill switch it off".... Few hours later i am still saying the same thing after each cutscene.

Loving the game! Truly awesome!

For people past the deer part:
I am now at the cut scene where Ele has been captured by that weirdo and locked in the meat cage. Just gone back to joel

Give my eyes a rest now.
