Finished this myself the other night, thought it was excellent in the main, it certainly kept me playing, I just wish they hadn't made such a mess of the melee weapons, I can smack something four times with a random plank before it breaks but an axe which is designed to chop things like trees up I can only use three times? Pant's on head retarded.
It's a game.
Other games have stuff like torches where the batteries run out after 30 seconds etc.
Yes, I am aware it's a game, it's still retarded.
Is this game worth getting? Is it one of those games that you just have to experiance?
Havent used my ps3 for gaming in about 2 years...these days its just a bluray player and nothing else lol but if this game really is that good then i might have to check it out.

This game is something else, and should be experienced by playing it not by watching a "Let's Play" like so many people are doing. If you're going to resume playing on the PS3, this'd be the game to do it with.

The axe does so much more damage that it would pretty much break the game if it lasted for ever.
just completed the game, couldn't put it down really enjoyed it i did have one gripe with the game personally don't know if anyone else agrees but mine was...
There are only 3 types of zombies i was expecting a big boss type zombie or big monster later in the game maybe in the sewers or something or like a resident evil nemisis type zombie which you kind of battle once (the mutanted clickers) and 5 times later in game but one you can run away from and others are easy to kill especially with flamethrower i was expecting a least one bigger zombie and a different challenge as i began to find the same bad guys abit boring towards the end of the game any one else agree?
I bought a PS3 again for this, GTAV and GT6.
Only The Last of Us is available yet (obviously), but I don't regret getting the console even if it was just for that game. It's fantastic.
Yeh, because it takes a genius to add in a mechanic that makes it go blunt quickly instead. Sorry, you can argue all you like but it is absolutely retarded how they chose to handle the axe mechanic in comparison to a bit of 4 by 1/2 wood taken from a pallet or crate.

From the sounds of it they're actually going to release another ending which may or may not have been more than just on paper, more news to follow at PAX.
There's no way they'll release an 'alternate' ending, it'd break the story of the actual game. Sounds like they're just going to explain/show-off some content that was cut.
