The Liverpool Club Thread. **No Spoilers**

The biggest take away from the press-conference today is that nearly every Liverpool fan and journalist covering the club needs to redo our coaching licenses. I think we can safely say we're not going to be playing 4-2-3-1 next season which is somewhat of a relief as we're packed with midfielders that can play as an 8 but not so many 6's.

The football was terrible but the dark arts were something to behold. Watching it over in the States with loads of Colombian’s and to my surprise it was the middle aged women getting the most animated, celebrating throw-ins and cursing at the officials, Uruguay players and supporters every 5 seconds. I ended up recording the final 30 seconds but can’t post it due to the language.

Edit: they’ve just said that the fighting started when some of the Uruguay players families were attacked by Colombian fans.

Well looks like we need a new number 9 then doesnt it. If the talk about his family being attacked is true then honestly...fair enough. He will get a lengthy ban though.

Suarez was banned by the EPL after the biting incident so they can do what they want if he is banned by Fifa or whoever hosts the Copa.
Suarez was banned by the epl because the incident happened in a domestic match, they can't arbitrarily decide to ban someone if Conmebol/fifa don't hit the player with a worldwide ban

The one for biting Chiellini? WC 2014

Like I said, if Conmebol/Fifa don't ban him then the EPL can't, but if they do the EPL can issue a ban too

The chiellani incident was a worldwide ban imposed by fifa, nothing to do with the pl. Which is why he didn't play for barca until end of October iirc

Yes but it was a Fifa event.
Yes I know.. if it wasn't his 3rd time biting someone i expext he would have just got the 9 game international ban but because he had a history they threw the worldwide one in.

Anyway given there were 3 or 4 Uruguayan players in there I would have thought there would be some sort of comment by the South American authorities, although the complete lack of security is worrying seeing as the wc is due there in a couple of years
