Not gonna lie, doesn't exactly look incredible.
Caveat that a 90 second trailer for a 10 hour series is going to struggle to convey where the plot is going this season.

That's a better promo for the series than the actual trailer.
Very weak trailer in comparison to HOD.

I've probably spent about 30 minutes reading this thread since it's inception (60ish pages, 2 mins a page), mostly for comedy value.

Trailer doesn't really say a lot. Still looking forward to watching the next season when it comes out. It's a perfect show to sit down and watch when I want to unwind and not have to deal with any complicated plots etc. Simple TV, but very entertaining and escapism at it's best.

The proto-Hobbits and probably-Gandalf are oddly absent from that trailer.
The "Hobbits" were a complete disaster, I would not be surprised if they have dispensed with them, they were probably the least popular element of the show.

I've just watched through Game of Thrones again and realised that the young Ned Stark plays Elrond in RoP.
Fingers crossed that season 2 pushes it nearer to GoT, though for the most part I quite enjoyed season 1.

Well they kind of have to, you know that is his entire plot line, aka Sauron the Deceiver.
Clearly you havent seen the trailer which shows Sauron in disguise and exactly who he is and even the reveal...........I mean why show all that in a trailer?
I have just wanted it clarified. The Halbrad as Sauron idea was a disaster.
It got heavily downvoted, people clearly weren't that impressed.
