I have just watched this mornings unitedPeoplesTv podcast on youtube and he thinks it is the fact Ronny has now come to terms he is getting old, his legs are getting tired quicker, fitness not at its peak anymore (still amazing fitness for his age though), he also thinks he has been told, he will be on the bench more due to all this. He will still be used a lot, but as a sub to get some fresh legs (he still can run fast but not for long) against tired defenders later in the game. It showed last night he made a instant positive change when he came on. A few errors but thats a given considering hes not had many minutes on the pitch.
If he is happy on the bench and to used a super sub so to speak, then I am all for it.

Seemed like he made an effort to be unselfish too. I know it wasn't the best ball over the Erikson, but you'd expect him to have a crack from there normally.

Not sure about that. He came on and made an impact but I think that is more of a reflection on his ability as a 9 vs Rashford than anything in particular. He tried to beat a guy for pace and didn't come close. He needs to be in space or coming onto balls and finishing moves, not sprinting from the half way line. I think Antony will love playing with Ronaldo though. He puts in a nice cross into the danger areas and thats exactly where Ronaldo will be.

I'm with you on the super-sub role though. I think that ultimately his role will depend on Martials availability. Can't help the feeling that EtH is basically putting all the big egos in their place at the moment. The un-dropables have been dropped.

You could see that cr7 was clearly better up front than Rashford who looked poor, with awful touches all game.

But paying 400k a week for the next 2 years for a substitute 37 year old. Which madman sanctioned this deal?

But in other news does anyone think it's a coincidence that dropping 3 English players out of our back 4 is actually beneficial? Shaw, Maguire, bissaka all English, all gone. 2 clean sheets in a row..

I mean you've played absolute dross in fairness. There's a test tomorrow.

certainly improvements all over at the moment.

Arsenal were good yesterday - United score at the right time.

Attitude looks 100 times better from the players at the moment. I like the big decisions ETH has taken regards Ronaldo/Macguire etc.

Interested to see how Casemiro fits in overall. Sancho still looks a shadow on his former self.

Overall - decent start.
