Who assisted yesterday? Garnacho? He didn't. The problem is Garnacho is still very selfish, especially on the left. He came on yesterday and had a lot of very speculative shots from range.
He’s definitely selfish, I’ll give you that. But he’s younger and tries a lot harder than Rashford. Would take Garnacho over him any day. But I’ve had it in for Rashford for a long time now, so it’ll take me a lot to sway in his favour now anyway. Don’t think a few goals really qualifies a return to any kind of form for him. And ETH isn’t probably helping!

De Gea saves TWO penalties to help Fiorentina to victory over Milan. Amazing!

I assume they went the same way as DDG because he sure as hell doesn't go the same way as the player :p

He is still a world-class goalkeeper.

He was making far too many mistakes by the end at United and his distribution was awful. The mistakes (and his insane wages) were probably what cost him his place at United. You can't have a keeper making serious errors as well as having holes in his game.

When hes in form though hes a fantastic basic keeper. Makes saves very few other can.

After seeing Berbatovs comments about the players should be ashamed that Evans got man of the match (rightly so), could Berbatov just come out of retirement for a few months and give us a little help please. Pretty sure he still has his magic touch.

i have a realistic alternative plan....don't play players with clear temperament issues. those 2 to begin with stink the place out. bruno is hugely talented but his horrible, rotten, spitefulness is something a team in utd's position can do without. he's a luxury player we simply cannot afford given the state of the current team.
He's often petulant and that's something that really annoys me - but "a luxury player we simply cannot afford"? Really? Bruno Fernandes you're talking about here?

I understand what hes saying. Fernandes is so much of our creativity and threat going forwards but he is also part of the reason we struggle to function as a proper team. You give up so much control against half decent teams with him.

Or is that because he’s always had to do what he’s had to do at United to get ahead? I’ve not watched him with Portugal, does he do less of his bad behaviours there and it’s just a case of our team / coaching?

I'm sure I read somewhere that ge gives the ball away 34 times a match. Not sure how true that is.

I think that when hes played like that for so many years, under different managers and he does, up to a point play the same way for the national team, its a Bruno thing not a team thing.

Portugal have a stacked team and are usually playing on the front foot. International football is also a completely different beast.

Maybe I misread. Can someone pull up some stats please? My Google skills are lacking, I can't find the right stat. He averages 37 passes a match this season apparently.
Pretty poor across the board this season:
Attempts around 50 per game - which puts him at 74th percentile
Successful passes, about 40 per game - 69th percentile
Pass completion is 80% - 41st percentile
key passes is 0.95 per game - 60th percentile

He has been uncharacteristically poor this season so far, still, a long season ahead.
