US: The Mandalorian

Seemed like a very short episode, must be because of last weeks extra long one and
also Grogu has PTSD.

Had no idea that was Jar Jar! He was good as a Jedi :) Also, how the **** did they fit the 3 young baby 'bird's in that ship? They looked like they were coming out of a clown car.

Anyone else kinda...not care anymore?

The story isn't going anywhere, the Mandolorians come across as absolute gimps and Grogu has outstayed his welcome as the cute but useless sidekick. And I don't know if it's just over exposure to the copious amounts of merchandise but he doesn't even look like a living being, he looks like a toy.
I cared more last episode where I thought they were going to go down the Andor route of fleshing out characters, creating an interesting narrative. This episode put that all back to zero with a dumb 'kill the monster' plot. The Grogu back story was good but the armour stuff was hella dumb. What next a full on battle suit for him? like come on..

The cgi as well has not been great, I don't know if everything was rushed or they just ran out of money but there are a lot of iffy scenes.

soon as that flying best went in the water I knew there would be a mososaur like scene.

Anyway did the Armorer dismiss Bo seeing the mythosaur even though she insisted she did?

It wasn't actual Jar Jar, just the guy who voiced him.

Jar Jar with dual light sabres would have been an interesting thing to see.
And did the motion capture. Once I heard I could then see Jar Jar in his facial setup.

It just seems like every episode is a sort of side mission. There's so many other bits going on I can't actually remember what the main storyline is anymore.
Well, as Pitch Meeting on Youtube correctly pointed out, it's because the entire premise of the show IS side missions. :p

But in all honesty, seasons 1 and 2 had season long goals, so it actually felt it was going somewhere even though everything was just a side mission. This season, it's... Sort of too vague. First it was redeeming Mando. Then it's... er. Well. We don't know after that. That's the problem. Usually the overall season arc is known early, right now, there's no clear arc. Resulting in side missions, that doesn't seem to have a point to them (yet... hopefully). Hopefully it'll get better, but we are already halfway through the season, so not sure what they can really do with the remainder to be honest.

This is probably Bo story arch.

Mando turned into an Idiot that has to get rescued every other episode and starting to take a back seat.

Starting to think the Bo TV show has been cut by Disney because of the drama and financial problems so they have started to weave her story into Mando.

Even if so, something more apparent so the viewers know would have been good. It's like the story with Grogu being with Luke for TWO YEARS, and that had to be explained by Favreau instead of being in any of the related series (because it felt like Din went back for Grogu overnight). That's bad story telling.

100%

All the problems just seem to be accumulating and tiny cracks are now starting to widen.

I wouldn't totally lay the blame at the feet of Favreau and feloni.

Working at LucauFilm sounds like hell.

A lot of the changes have been forced on them.

Grogu story Arc in Mano was complete. Brought back due to being a gold mind. They could have easily continued that arch in a Luke show but the man is banned from the writting room as they despise him.

The whole Mando with no helmet came about because of the Predo kicking up not wanting to wear it all the time.

We got the Book of Cubby Fett because Predro was granted time away to film the Last Of Us. It felt like two completely shows stiched together.
