Yep, Rod Neep. I'll probably get a reply today now, but it certainly makes it difficult to go down the custom route with his current response times. I had asked a couple of times exactly what resin/stone he had in stock, but he always asked me which one I would like, to which he would come back with "nope, don't have any of that left".

Frustrating to say the least.

That's a shame, he was very helpful when i contacted him about making my custom brush.

I think it took a good few weeks, but he made two to my spec (#1283 is my one) and gave me the choice as the stone has different patterns and colours. The other went on his site to sell.

EDIT: Maybe tell him what you want, if he hasnt got it in stock, to let you know when he has?

I'm going to make a new shaving thread with a better OP than this one. Hopefully it means a lot of guys new to De shaving will find answers to their questions easier rather than having to sift through all this thread or have us answer the same questions over and over. Any objections/suggestions? I will make it a guide almost with much of the info spread throughout this thread and other info shamefully ripped from elsewhere. This info will all go in the opening posts.

Not a bad idea - call it something like the new official manly shaving thread (don't forget the asterisks) and reference this one.

No merge, it would just get tagged onto the end of this one. I think a new thread with everything in the first post is a good idea.
 
Small problem im having.

Shaving face fine, neck is a bit confusing and im being left with pin head like small nicks.

Problem is my bear travels across ( like the beard is horizontal on my neck just around the adams apple), it its difficult to fist shave with the grain, as technically im shaving across it, which I feel is causing the longer hair to tug in the blade and pull then cut, but of course in doing so must be pulling the skin with it to cut it as well.
Plus then theirs no real comfortable way to shave against the grain, not like I can reallty pull the blade across the neck.

Any ideas?

I would say a good blade (I use mine twice then chuck em), lots of cream/soap/ whatever you use, a good technique (not pressing too hard, going WTG and ATG) but crucially don't keep going over the same area trying to get rid of every molecule of stubble. As long as you get rid of most and aren't 'patchy' then go with it; also using only lukewarm water.

if you still get irritation after that I cant you help lol!
