* The Metal Thread *

Well, almost everything I thought of has already been posted. Apart from Mortician. Mortician ROCK! Otherwise, I can second the choices of Morbid Angel, Amon Amarth, Akercocke and Cannibal Corpse. :)

Metallica have to be mentioned!
Interestingly enough, I recently found a Radio 1 Drum & Bass set which featured a remix of Enter Sandman :)

Machine Head - The Blackening

If you haven't already you'd better check that album out! I'm learning the songs on guitar at the moment, so much fun to play!

I also like the usual stuff like Metallica, Trivium, Slayer etc, taking a liking to acoustic stuff recently too! :O

Agreed, great album that.

Well I recently acquired these albums

Whitechapel - This Is Exile (probably the heaviest stuff I will listen to)
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli (very good indeed)
Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon ( epic, recorded with an orchestra aswell)

And if anyone here or likes chunky catchy riffs, solos and just sheer awesomenes check out Sylosis, if you don't like them then you don't like Metal :p

Cynic - Traced In Air, their first album since 93!

Never heard of them before, Saw them supporting Opeth last year and they completely blew me away...I dare say I like them even more than Opeth now.

but more importantly ... MY BAND! :) We are Power Metal, and quite good even if I do say so myself....

check us out at:

We have a new CD coming out soon too :)

That's quality :)

Not exactly new but I've started listening to The Berzerker and Carcass again. Compromise, Corporal Jigsore Quandary and Heartwork being my favourite songs, but the drumming on Reality is pretty good to :D
