American Head Charge - 'The War of Art' should be in any metal head's collection.

I reckon Burn My Eyes is Machine Head's best album.

Godsmack - any album.

Fear Factory - Digimortal is a great start.

And last but not least -

Cant believe this thread has reached two pages and Rammstein haven't been mentioned

Seen them in 2005 on the Reise Reise tour and it was without doubt the best concert I've ever been to. Here's hoping they tour again next year:

Machine Head !!!
:D

There's only a few songs I can't stand from them ("Only The Names" being one that springs to mind).
Burn My Eyes, The Blackening, both fantabulous albums.

Of course Metallica has to have a mention (or a few mentions).

Only really like a couple of Tool's songs at the moment, but trying to get into them more.

Rammstein are another favourite of mine, along with System of a Down (not sure if they fall into the Metal category though).
A UK appearance for Rammstein would be awesome :) Gogogo!

Saw Pendulum at Brixton back in November and they did a Master of Puppets remix.
Only about half of the audience knew what it was (shock horror!), but for those of us who did it was epic :D

These are the only two decent(ish) quality ones I can lay my mitts on at this time:

Soilwork are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Seen them about 5 times or so now, and every single show is amazing. Speed is a top bloke too.

Mainly into melodic stuff myself, saw Darkest Hour a couple of weeks ago on the Thrash and Burn tour - awesome band.

Also saw these guys and was very impressed. Very strong jazz influence, and some great keyboard work :

That Pendulum remix of Master of Puppets was pretty awesome! Pendulum are awesome.

btw nearly forgot to mention these if anyone else hasn't heard of them yet.

Dillenger Escape Plan

They're pretty mental if you listen to some of their other stuff..

Dillinger, Protest the Hero, Scale the Summit, are about as good as it gets.

Gotta give atreyu a mention! -: The curse, a death grip on yesterday and Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses. The newest album lead paper sails is not as heavy but is just different, not worse.

Bullet for my valentine- The poison and scream aim fire.

As i lay dying- Seen these live before i listened to them, they are good. The drummer has some mad skills!
