Back from Bloodstock.. finally saw a band I grew up listening to, Rhapsody! And then today find out they've split. Maaaan :(.

I did discover an awesome band however, i'm sure already known but..

Produced and featuring Andy Sneap! The awesome producer.. a NWOBHM band that never managed to release their debut in the 80s due to the label going under and the singer committing suicide.. Back now and I think they put a lot of modern metal to shame.. Love the theatrics and vocals.
They opened the last day of Bloodstock and put most bands that day to shame with their performance :)

Found this whilst browsing youtube the other day:

Quite a lot of acoustic stuff by Corey from some of his book signings etc.

This one was dedicated to Paul Gray, and im suprised he carried on just after the minute mark :(

Awesome awesome vocalist

Ghost Brigade - Clawmaster
Skip to 4:30'ish to get lost in some truly epic melo-death.
The entire new album, Until Fear No Longer Defines Us, is by far and away my record of the year - until Insomnium release One For Sorrow in a few months, anyway!

And for good reason but at least you didn't link to the Ian Gillan period.

Funny you should say that actually because thats the one period I haven't listened to - or even tried to. I do love Deep Purple though. Hoping to see them in November :)

I love the Tony Martin era. Very under-rated singer.

The most criminally under rated Sabbath era to be honest. I love these songs.

R.I.P Cozy Powell :(

I agree that Iommi recorded some great albums post Ozzy/Dio Sabbath era's, but they weren't Black Sabbath albums and never should have carried the Sabbath name, Iommi wanted to change it but was pressured by the record companies into retaining it.

In my opinion the only albums that deserve the Sabbath name post Ozzy era, are Heaven & Hell & Mob Rules. After that it became Tony Iommi and a who's who of various rock/metal musicians, invariably it always sounded great, but was imo, too far removed from the original vision of Black Sabbath to rightfully carry the name.
