* The Metal Thread *

Not sure if this has already been posted but Uk metal band 'Savage Messiah' are giving their album 'plague Of conscience' away for free @ www.earache.com/savagemessiah. Old school sounding Metal/thrash, very good quality, great riffs and melodies throughout.

Savage Messiah supported Evile last year at The Sugamill and the sound was that bad that somebody must have sabotaged it.
The drums were the worst I'd ever heard (they used Evile's kit) and during the band change nothing got changed on the drumkit but when Evile came on the sound was excellent.
I even emailed the band about it to tell them to keep an ear out for similar shenanigans on the tour.

One of the greatest bands in heavy metal history:

I first saw Priest when Halford had very long hair on the Rocka Rolla tour and saw then so many times in the 70s.
Iron Maiden promoted their first album supporting Priest and we all stood there gobsmacked because they had stolen Priest's stage clothes.
Rob Halford still remains my all time favourite rock vocalist and I never saw him put a note wrong live.
I have all his Halford stuff too (and Fight).

You have picked a very bad example of Judas Priest in your video though.

this was written with the intention of Halford guest singing on it, but he turned it down.

I love all priest apart from the Ripper years. Saw them on their most recent tour last year and Halfords voice was still incredible.

I can't believe they are actually still on that tour, it's in Asia now. The last date will be at the Hammersmith Odeon and I'm trying to arrange to be there because I'm sure they have something special planned!

What's wrong with Desert Plains? It's an awesome track! Priest were at their best in the 80's.

I've always found their bassist to be a bit weird though. When I saw them, he literally just stood in the same spot throughout the whole show. He's in the background in this video too - barely on the camera at all!

New Anaal Nathrakh possibly this year as well as a new Gojira album, although I'm not sure what happened to the Sea Shepherd EP?

I also seem to be addicted to Coheed & Cambria at the moment but I wouldn't classify them as metal.
