Chelsea, the saviours of European football. Bet nobody thought that would ever happen.
30 minutes of the ball actually being in play. If the ball goes out of play the clock stops. No issue (in principle) with this from me; I've long felt 30min halves with clock stopping is preferable to the random injury time generator we get (or more commonly in Europe just too little added time, refs blowing up at 93:00 when there was 3 mins of added time and further stoppages during that time etc)
Even elite professionals can't maintain full intensity for 90mins plus stoppages, so arguably if they shortened matches we could see more intensity (although sometimes having tired players can make games more exciting...).
This has been the most real threat but this has happened before and will happen again. Whenever the next planned reformat of the CL or TV contracts are due for renewal we'll hear the same stuff.Good for them. Hopefully this sets a trend but fans won't forget this is a hurry.
City look to be next.
Liverpool and United will be the last to go, apparently they were the ones really pushing it this side of the water.

To be fair I'd would rather have Roman as our owners than the Americans. Good old socialism in his blood coming out and realising he has done wrong.
Regardless of how this ends up I am embarrassed to be a Man Utd fan as it is obvious this was the brainchild of the trio of American owners. If anything the club need to be sold or forced to be sold.
It is just so sad.
Looks like the Super League clubs got reassured they'll be getting more of the Champs League cash. But now they'll all claim they just had a change of heart
This will majorly restart the green and gold till the club is sold campaign, hopefully using momentum to this time get rid of the useless yanks. To be fair I'd would rather have Roman as our owners than the Americans. Good old socialism in his blood coming out and realising he has done wrong.
