The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

Well over the last week I got my Red Snapper RS-283 & RSH-528 Head, first run with it was great. After seeing the horror story (not really) but the breakage, it worried me, however mine is sweet as.

Also just ordered a Lenser V24 in blue... cant wait to get my hands on it and make some light-sabre noises with it in my head, HA!

My work mates bought me a manfrotto mkc3 h01 tripod as a going away present :) I'll be needing it as I plan on trying out some landscape work up in Yorkshire! I know it's not amazing, but it certainly beats my 12 quid camlink sticks

I had one of those Jav, sold it :(, wish i had'nt great little lens, there is no manual aperture ring though, so will struggle to us tubes, or do those tube keep the auto focus going?

EDIT: Kenko auto extension tubes.......... DOH!

I'm very jealous, just been playing with one in the shops and it's much nicer to use than any other evil camera I've tried. Just can't justify one right now as I have a 5n.

Yeah I only had the 5, I think if i had the 5n I would get the Viewfinder for it rather than upgrade.

I am also finding it harder to use in so much as getting similar results to the 5, going to take a bit of practice however I do like the manual controls etc

I have the non IS myself currently, but I've found myself trying to take shots and getting camera shake recently, so figured why not treat myself with the cashback deal on :p

Plus, the IS is weather sealed and supposedly the sharpest 70-200, bar the f/2.8 IS mk2

Got a LensBaby Composer for my birthday. Finally had a long enough break from the optic neuritis to use my camera today. Will suffer tonight/tomorrow but hey ho.

Going to take some getting used to. At least on the S5 it meters in manual & Av which is a bonus.
